Some take Frenzy. It helps you to get to 16 spps.
But I still prefer Stand Firm.

I've come to not like frenzy, because I like to control the positioning and I suck at predicting block outcomes. Speaking of combos, I'm really impressed with the blodge/SF combo but that might be better on blitzers. I'm also surprised none of you say take block, 16spp is such a long way without it. I've been thinking of DT on BOBs as well but since elves tend to avoid my team it's probably better to take SF instead. Suppose an SF BOB gets another double, take dodge, or sidestep? Or block? Or do I have to shoot somebody?!

Sleepy sleepy time. Better take some pills.

Well SF and DT is true pain to face combined with str 4... I know it's two doubles and all, but it work wonders (only one double for a flesh golem Wink also give your team a different playing style and add flavor to the game instead of just always being mainstream... I know it works being mainstream but it is a tad boring in the long run... Just my 2 cents...

For Erazz: take it and then dodge to improve health and dance all around whenever you like, sure hands, leap...
For torsoboy: I like frenzy, in a long path to breack takle, block, takle, pro, sure hands...

I took Frenzy as was very happy with it. Don't waste the double; it's not so hard to score with BOs to skill them up. If not Frenzy; SF.

frenzy + sf is awsome, lets you pushout with impunity
almost as good as dt sidestep

Better than DT/SS on a Black Ork, in my opinion. And I think I'd go SF/DT on a Blitzer rather than SS/DT. Stand Firm has a better offensive use for dodging away. The Blitzer can then top it up with Tackle and Pass Block (Pass Blöock/Tackle/DT = great when you, once in a blue moon, get to play some elves).

You're not going to pass on Stand Firm?! Hells Bells...I'd take that on EVERY player who rolled doubles on EVERY team if I could (waay back in 3rd edition I had SF on a trio of wood elf catchers...lemme tell you, that was a broken skill combo right there...). The ability to fail dodge rolls and not turnover, IMHO, is huge beyond reckoning. The ability to stand on the sidelines without fear, keep that Guard assist firmly in place, and make rock solid cage corners are just a bonus as I see it...

Dodge. Unless you are playing against dwarves, the odds of a tackler on the LOS are small, plus, it's funny!

Dodge is great on a Block Ork that already has Stand Firm. Block/Dodge/Guard/Stand Firm/ST4 is aweome. Break Tackle is then a possibility for the fifth skill.

However, I would never take Dodge on the first double on a BO. Frenzy on one, SF on the rest of them.

Also, two SF players in a team is great, as it allows for better set-ups out in the endzones. Add a third, and you can proof yourself against one-turning by means of forward-pushing.

stand firm and diving tackle are the best oprions imo. frenzy is more trouble than its worth without block and dodge is only max effective when coupled with sf. diving tackle makes your team more versatile and often catches less experienced coaches out.. ahem.. Smile
