In The LRB4 it says any Vampire who fails the Blood Lust/Off for a Bite Roll must end their turn next to a Thrall or suffer a Turn Over. It also says the Vampire may NOT score a TD if his move takes him inside the End Zone.

I've just played a Vamp team who had a vampire fail the OFAB roll, move into the end zone (away from any thralls) and score!!

In the "diffreneces to the board game faq" i cant see any mention to this change. should it have happened and am i just reading the rules wrong???

It's a bug; I believe this counts as abusing a bug.

Christer said it was authorized. the usual etiquette is that you should not score with an OFAB'ed vamp if you don't have a thrall sitting in or one square away from the endzone. when you do that, you still don't bite your thrall, but at least you "almost" play it as it should.

To be honest I do kind of abuse this fault a bit with my Vampire team:

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=152896

But, in all fairness, I think I've handicapped myself enough. Afterall, even if a player does go a bit crazy and dives into the crowd, there's no reason to suggest that he won't happen to pass through an opponent's end zone at the same time.....

I can see why you'ed be a bit narked if the opposition had Thralls nearby though.

What I'm annoyed about is how it would never have happened in the Board Game, and it seems a shame to lose games just by playing on a computer. It doesnt really matter though as it was 1-1, if id have lost i'd be v annoyed

Vampires are such a crap team that i say let them have this one advantage
Besides, this has been brought up before and its legal to score this way

It's just polite to write in the bio that you will exploit this.

<rules lawyer mode = on>

Ahem.. It´s not a bug and therefore not an exploit - it´s a feature Very Happy. And it is mentioned in the differencesfromboardgamefaq, item 9:
Quote:

(9) LRB (2.0 - p16) states that players only score a touch down
when they end their action in the end zone. In the game you
score as soon as you enter the endzone (standing) with the ball.

And as the file is ranked over the LRB according to the rules page on fumbbl then it is indeed a touchdown and the OFAB roll has no effect. Yay! Vamps score!

<rules lawyer mode = off>

This is a game with rules. Even vampires have to follow these rules. If not, they are cheating. And that is how simple it is. If you think the team is to weak, don't play it. It's like saying that Gobbos should get the chance to cheat because they are a weak team.

*bah*

Actually, it is not "legal", it is a flaw in the program.
Don't try to justify it just because it is a limitation that doesn't cripple the game 99% of the time or you think that team needs a hand out. There is a difference between accepting the limitations of the software and its execution of the rules and saying that an exploit is a legal move.

Fumbbl rules override LRB, IIRC.

the thing is: the differences quoted make clear that whenever you get in, you score. that is a difference from the board game, and should be treated as such.
