Hopefully the final will be played today and the forfeits will be given.
Guys start searching for someone to take over the 5 Stars League. I don't have the energie for another round... sorry.
As soon as the final is over, I will put all the teams in a big open round robin so you can play your teams any time you want. Then I will wait for messages from those that would like to manage the 6th season of the 5 Stars League. |

Please no big open round robin. that will play into the hands of those with most time available to make monster teams and unbalance the league.
Also I haven't played in it myself but have heard only bad things about the abyss open rr section from season 5.
I am willing to help as staff but not sure i know enough or have the available time to run the league. Maybe one of the existing staff would like to take a step up  |

I don't agree with you G. Player raises and lowers so quickly anyway that It won't make a diffence. |

A monster team has no future at the 5 Stars League. As soon as it becomes a monster, it has 5 - 6 games of life. After that, the players age and get injuries and cannot be replaced.
Check out how is my monster team after winning the final. They will never be the team they were again.
If you want, we can make a poll about having a pre-season 6 abyss. |

I don't like the idea of "open" play. That skills elves&skavens up soooooo quickly. And then they enter to Asteroid Divisions from the Abyss? Sounds like quite unfair to me. Elven teams with 4-5 skills per player facing some other teams that have been in Asteroid for longer, without the option to "cherrypick in open". |

Sorry to hear you are going Captain. I'm willing to help out the staff, but I lack any experience. I would hate to see this wonderfull league go down the drain.
And I'm also against open RR, it seems a little unfair, I rather like the idea of a fixed game competition. |

Glad to be taking the league back
Thanks to everyone for keeping it running strong whilst I was away last year.
And Thanks to Cap, and all the staff for making some great improvements to the league.
I will be starting season 6 as soon as the switch over, and league lineups are established.

Nice to hear that you are coming back Nehver. I also want to complement you on the great idea of a 5 star league.
Before the start of season 6 I wanted to reinforce the suggestion of play-off rounds for descending and ascending teams.
Maybe we could have a poll on this?
(unless you like the idea enough to implement it right away, of course) |

Play-off rounds are for ascending/descending teams are something we had when the league first started, and I am considering bringing this back for season six. I will leave the final decision up to the coaches, but I do really like this idea.
