Reporting from the semifinals now - Denmark seem to have taken a decisive lead over the strong German team. Mobo's bashing poets kicked the semi's off with a victory over a speedladen skaven team coached by one of fumbbl's notorious rat lovers, Flix. The game held the exitement to the end, so replay is worth checking out.
In the second game, heinz' 11 humies were up against another posse of undeads, this time in a roaring blizzard. Blockless mummies ate rr's faster than zombies devour a bowl of brains, and the fumbling ghouls made it fairly easy for my catcher to steal the ball for a turn 4 td. Next drive began with a PI stuning 5/10 remaining humies, making it look like a certain 1-1 at halftime - but som dodging ogre action and a rr-less gfi in the snow resulted in a goalless half for the zombs. In second half the Danish taxpayers were reduced even more in numbers, and the Germans made a fine 6 turn td-ing drive. But once again the speed of the human catchers proved valuable, as the 2 turn pass n run play went just after the game plan.
While we await the last game of this semi, Danish team is all set to the final clash against Spain or 1-round rivals from Hungary. |

Again Denmark has taken the lead in their first game. The now nicknamed Bashing Poets won yet another game versus BiggieB's Poets and Writers. The 2-0 seems like it was big win. But actually this was a pretty close game. BiggieB nearly managed to stop the 8 turn "Funeral March", but some dodges a blitz and an amazing short pass from the ghoul to a wight. Touchdown!!! The Bashing Poets were in the lead 1-0.  Doing the drive a Black Orc got block-killed. Now the numbers were also in Danish favour. 12-10. Biggie fought bravely back. reducing the Undeads number. Wight got badly hurt. and more KO. One Orc Lineman also bite the dust and got badly hurt. In turn 4or 5 the Orc Thrower got sacked by a team of ghouls. After that there was a lot of trying to get the ball. Turn 8 the ghoul with the ball gets pushed in the endzone for yet another TD. 2-0.

Annnnnnnd *drumroll* the winner is....Denmark!! Yay for us! 2-0 in the finals vs. Hungary leaving the Mithrilpoint vs. Angelface to be of nothing but cosmetic significanse. Thx to all opponents for fun games, come back and whoop the Danish team from their high horse next season. |
