Honestly, i didnt like this move.
most leagues dont allow mixed teams and so they dont compete in leagues.
So they just sit in unranked, waiting for a great muck around game.
If the teams were in ranked itd be understandable but there not in leagues so what harm are they doing? |

I hate to be the one to say it but... too late. Next question?
P.S. I named a dwarf runner after you, Diablo. |

They were very challenging and fun to play. Not at all overpowered I think (after bigguys lost general acces that is). Most people who state that probably haven't played many games with or against pact teams, or else they would not be saying that.
People think the pact teams are very good both at bashing and scoring. Well, most of the time they got outscored by my scoring teams, and outbashed by my bashing teams. Pact teams aren't that straightforward to play with as well, I haven't met many coaches who had solid pact strategies. Also, because of the expansive rerolls it takes a while to get your full roster, only at higher TR pact teams can get powerfull.
Anyway, Christer probably had his reasons, and there still are enough pact teams around to play against (just dont retire em, people !). |

Other than slaughtering unsuspecting goblins?
There was lots of discussion about Pact teams in the week before this decision, but the tipping factor seems to have been the technical issues involved. |

If you don't like a team, you don't have to play it!
So just bring 'em back. |

One word: Tournaments.
All of this was gone over a dozen times in the other thread anyway and, in any case, technical reasons seem to have been the prime cause behind the change.
To turn the question around: if you want to run poorly-designed team lists, why not do it in your house-ruled off-line league? Or use the Java app to do so without reference to fumbbl? |

You can still play pact teams in your own non-fumbbl leagues. I for one am glad that they are gone. Good riddance, pact teams! |

But Optihut, I want Fummbl to run as if I was in charge, but having other people do all the work! Oh, wait.. If I was in charge, they would have been gone for a Loooong time. |
