Hi Ski.

We are planning on tecnically removing the big guys, since there is no use listing them seperately in the .ini files, because as opposed to the rulebook there can be no confusion about how many big guys can play for the team;

We would require you to introduce a new Tag, named "Star Players" instead.

The newly formated .ini's would look like that:
Code:

[STAR PLAYERS]
Griff Oberwald=Griff_Oberwald.gif
Mighty Zug=Mighty Zug.gif
Count Luthor von Drakenborg=Count_Luthor_von_Drakenborg.gif
Zara the Slayer=Zara_the_Slayer.gif
Morg 'n' Thorg=Morg_'n'_Thorg.gif

[HUMAN TEAM]
Lineman=Human_Lineman_1.gif
Catcher=Human_Catcher_1.gif
Thrower=Human_Thrower_1.gif
Blitzer=Human_Blitzer_1.gif
Ogre=Human_Ogre.gif

Yes, a "Human Ogre" (file name only!), meaning we'd have several racial Big Guy icons and portraits for Big Guys on diffrent teams.

Furthermore Ski the issue has arisen to assign certain icons to certain players; Have you read the corresponding topic i created?

Sorry the BIG GUY tag won't be coming out. I don't want to nerf custom leagues having the ability to add big guys to any roster they have house rules for. I may eventually add a new star players tag to separate the big guys and star players when I have the time. This probably won't happen in the large fields release.

As far as assigning certain icons to certain players, yes I've done this. But not the way you wanted. I just don't have the time. The way I did it is not ideal, but it works. It only affects the local client. You add a [PLAYERS] tag. When a roster loads it will check each name for an icon in the players tag. If it doesn't find it it uses the normal icon. Why did I do it this way, cause I took a quick look at the code and was able to make this happen with 3 new lines of code.

We have to remember, the graphical goodies is all 'OPTIONAL' and shouldn't require a massive redo of the way the program works.

There is no correct way to use the client and it feels like 'ICONIACS' are wanting too much to be done to make the icons work the way they want.

I think Icons.INI works great and is very flexible right now. And it allows each coach to play the game in a way that they most enjoy and can understand, with default icons, custom icons or circles.

I'm fine with the [PLAYERS] Tag; I think Barnlato was the guy who had a more complex thing in mind ^^
