Hello everyone, we were talking in IRC about getting together to go see a game when I come to visit in August, and I decided to start this thread so we can nail down some details.

According to Ozjesting (resident Swan expert and celebrity ambassador) there is a night game at 7:30pm on August 26th at the Telstra stadium. Ozjesting is going to look into a possible group discount depending on how many of us decide to go.

Also, since this is a night game, is there anyone interested in getting together for some Bloodbowl earlier in the afternoon? We'd have to find a location that was convienant to getting to the stadium later.

Please post any suggestions/ideas here, and also if you're interested in going to the Blood Bowl or Swan game or both.

For my part, I'll be bringing my wife and daughter too, so its quite possible this will be a family friendly event.

just so it is clear...game is Sydney Swans vs Brisbsane Lions Saturday August 26th at Telstra Stadium (Olympic Park). Kick off is 7:10pm. So i suggest we are at the stadium by 6:30. Will advise to ticketing arrangements when i have more information.

Clay is only invited if he doesn't make one disparging remark in this thread Wink

My wife is a HUGE sports fan... there is no way she'd let me leave her at the hotel. And if she comes, then got to bring my little girl too... it's not like I can ask my parents to babysit. Confused

nah dan, he can always divert towards gumbi I reckon.

If you go down I prolly will as well, assuming I'm not already in Broken Hill by then, which seems quite likely.
