I'm thinking this post will be the one to knock it to 9 pages, but I could be wrong and it might just be the last one on page 8. Hard to tell. I guess I could preview it - that might tell me - but instead I'll just hit the submit button. Gotta grab the gusto in life sometimes, leap without looking, dive head-first into the shallow waters...
Er, something like that.
Edit: Wahoo! 9 pages - my work here is done. |

You guys want recepies again?
Why didnt you just say so. There is no need to actually post about fouling to get recepies from me.
But since its christmus time i will share a nice recepie for Glögg. A traditional swedish christmus beverage.
Glögg!
4-ounces dried apples
3-ounces seedless raisins
3-ounces prunes
1-ounce dried orange peel (pommerance)
2-ounces almonds
1-ounce cardamom
1-ounce cloves
1-ounce cinnamon sticks
1 cup granulated sugar
2 bottles port
1 bottle claret or dry red wine
Brandy
Almonds, raisins and cloves (optional garnishes)
Day before, tie fruits, almonds and spices in cheesecloth; put in large pot. Add sugar, port and claret or dry red wine. Bring to boil; then simmer over medium heat until reduced to about 2 1/2 bottles. Pour into glass jar; cover; cool for 24 hours.
Next day, remove spice bag from wine.
Heat 1 part wine with 1 part brandy; do not boil.
Serve in punch glasses. If desired, garnish each serving with a couple of almonds, raisins and cloves. |

Then again, there is something to be said about researching the guy you are going to play...if he says in his bio, "Hey, I like fouling! (like me) you know he has a record of fouling, or has DP on his team, I think you get what you pay for. I'm still up in the air about the T16 foul, but I have been known to have done it, especially if my opponent was stalling, which annoys me. I figure, ya gotta vent your spleen somewhere.... |

Fouling is the best thing in this game ;D
U yust cant resist not to foul a poor elf who is taking a sunbath on the ground
Thats why i usualy play with goblins so ppl wont get so much mad when i do 3-6 fouls per game(and if i get ''get the ref'' its a fouling time!!) ;D
Ppl who foul ARE having fun the only ppl that are geting mad cause of this are those who are playing only to win! and that are sentimentaly atachet to their teams. I have retired more that 80 teams so far and i dont give a dam! I'm having fun all the time
P.S. i never do fouls in the last 4 turns, that realy sycks |

pfff
Getting to love your team is one of the best part of bb.
If you become too attached to them is wrong, but being proud of retiring teams over and over and over is a shame. |

Yeah ya do you fouled me turn 16 when I played you once. I know this cause its on my BL (for my viewing only). But fouling was not the main reason I placed you on my BL, that I won't discuss here .
Jan you are right with retiring teams I retired some R teams early and feel ashamed about it when looking back now. At the time I was trying to find my feet with race selection.
I don't think retiring Unranked teams is anything too much to be ashamed off, but this does depend on the team and what cup it was created for. |

These issues with fouling and DP's seem to have been attenuated abit for LRB5. I would not ever fault someone for using DP or fouling every turn. It is absolutely a strategic as well as fun part of the game. Fouling on turn 16 is also advantageous if you have not yet reached 2 casualties for the game. |
