I will see how they fare after the next round of ageing - all being well they will be in the 200+ league next time round. Although I may prune my nemeses and train a few replacements instead. |

So now me and Cyrus-Havoc begun the tourney, t´was a hard game, with over-time, and my worthy opponent won by a toss after a draw.
So, that was a quickie for me, but fun all the same.

My Gondolin-Results so far. Thanks to all coaches who were actually there to play. I´m wondering why some of the other ones even applied to the league. Maybe they will appear during the next weeks.

It was fun, but the three last games killed me. I´ll see if I´ll be on for the next league. Round robin sounds nice to me too |

Agreed...that is one reason why I was calling for 'round robin' instead of 'open'. If a team plays 6 games and wins the tournament by 1 point...and second place only got to play 2 games because of inability to find opponents...did the winner really deserve it? |

The Mini Leagues are what they are. A round robin league is something different. If enough people want to take part in one then we can arrange one but it will require someone else to be it's commissioner.
Open round robin is not fair. That is agreed.
The goal is to get most points. Do that and you win. End of story. If you play all your games and lose them all, you are still the champion if you have more points than anyone else.
It may be hard to get a game if you live on Christmas Island or all your teams are Khemri that's the way it is.
If you spot an AV7 team try to play then early before the bashers get them. At least guarantee yourself one point.
Round Robin leagues have similar problems unless all the coaches are committed to them. |
