Am i going soft!?
Ok so the last few days have been shockingly bad for me, I have had to retire 2 teams a couple of games into creating them. The woodelf team I made had there first 2 games against halfling teams in which i procedded to fail every single attempt to pick up, throw the ball or catch and every GFI roll with rerolls. So I ended up losing the first match and then in the second match a lone treeman personaly killed 3 elves and halflings resulted in 2 more suffering niggling injurys...Not Great so they went.

The next team I wanted to have a play around with was skaven, had seen my friends play with them a bit and I enjoyed the idea of a 1 turn touchdown scoring gutter runner. So I created the first Horned one's own. But after playing one game and suffering death's and maulings i decided to drop them...

Now normaly I am a bashy player, I like clearing the pitch of opponents then gently strolling a guy across the line. But i enjoyed playing the skaven, actualy being able to make passes and run plays seemed to add more dimension to the game rather than smacking everything to high hell! My Khemri bash team have seen better days, I managed to kill my star mummy on a GFI roll which didnt regenerate and then suffered 2 mummys with aging rolls of niggling injury's and a -1str aging on my blitz-ra. So I thought to myself ok lets give this skaven malarky another try.

Getting a +1ma gutter runner after the first game showed promise and things only got better when my thrower picked up +1 str. It seems to me that i'm enjoying the flingy game more now than the bashy one whats going on!

Plz dont make the mistake of creating a one-turner, and then throwing all the SPP at him.. it will kill the rest of the team as he inflates TR.

make a good balanced team, develop Gutters almost defensively as they have no trouble scoring offensively anyway :)

Indeed, Indeed. Listen to the man below. Gutter runners are sweet defensive players.

On doubles take dauntless. If you are fortunate enough to roll a second double, take horns on him. If not, have dauntless take strip ball and then leap.

Without doubles, Block, sidestep, shadow combinations can be a nightmare for others to get away from.

seriously, Gutters for defense.

You're not going soft just because you play Skaven.
If you no longer play vs DPs you are going soft.

Well I have another 2 gutter runners which hopefully were goign to become defensive players, luckily i got +1str on my thrower so was planning to make him a defensive player. The only thing im finding it hard to do is get linesman with points, they either tend to die before they can get enough or struggle to do anything worth a spp in the game.
