700... And Improving?
Okay, lets face the issue right now! Most people gets better the more they play the game, but I have until my 600:th game being in a constant tailspin downwarths..... Until now! Maybe Im normal after all? Nah, but it is cool to see that I finaly make some progress.

Until game 600 I had a winprocentage of 38.7%! After a quick count for the last 100 games until game 700 I had 47 wins, 13 Draw and 40 losses. It is 53.5% wins, which is quite good by my standards. However, with all games combined I have 222 Wins 134 Draws and 344 Losses which put me at 41.3% wins overall.

But, when it all comes down to business it doesnt mean anything. If any, maybe the last 100 counts for something since how I played 10 years ago is not really relevant for anything. Except.... My own personal satisfiction and curiousity. SOo, can I get up to a 50/50 record at 1000 games? Not likely and wether I do or not doesnt matter but sicne I started to track this a couple of hunderd games ago, I can as well track the last 300 games as well.

It will probobly take a few years and with only three more blogs to write, I dont think it will get to hard to write down but I must end this monolouge with the most valid point yet. When I stop having fun and only keep hunting for the positive score, I will hang up the (boots?).

I have a too big of an urge to play with my league orcs, now they are up to 6 permanent players after a really nice restart with 11 loner linemen cause the fluff and evironment is so good. I will keep running a team of khemri in the RRR until they pull through, and it is an uphil battle but thats what makes it fun and the lonly team that I play that (until now that is) have a positive score that I love to play is my Lizardssons. They have done very well in the tournament and box scene and it have suprised me alot since they have faced some really tough competition but I have had nuffle on my side, so far atleast.

Now im of to catch up with the latest in the abandoned games scene, so take care out there and see you in the box!

Actually, most people don’t get better the more they play, it’s one of the interesting things, people improve until they reach a level where they don’t want to do what is needed to improve further. Which is ok, as there are many more important things in life than getting better.

True that, Harad. I still dont aim for the stars in order to memorize every trick there is, but atleast I try to focus more on winning nowdays instead of just bashing and dashing away and hope for the best. Im more in the area of turning a loss into a tie, and a tie into a win and go for more competetive matches, like major tournaments and stuff. I still have a blast thou :)

I dont know if hunting for % without any other fun aspect is even possible. There is always the sploosh sound. And the yommyommyomm when a troll eats a gobbo. T16 flying TDs. T16 fouls. Live comments on games. Surfs. Awesome competition. SL. Discord. And gang fouls.

Oh I'm not saying you can't improve Bloodfeast :) I am sure you can and you may well be. I just have always found it interesting that most people don't, despite what one would think.

You never know the moment you have improved. You would just realize the proof of improvement later. I am not sure concentrating and tracking win % will make the experience more fun. What i think matters about improving is asking important questions about games regularly, marking crossroads within the game while playing, and reviewing the game afterwards. Not necessarily doing for every game, but if you havent done so in a year, then chances are you havent improved in that year.

I wish I'd quit in Jan 2018 so my overall CR progression made Harad look completely wrong ;)

It doesnt matter if or when I improve, it was just a fun thing to keep track of when I started to do it from around game 500 or so, and it doesnt really matter so it has just become a game of curiosity for me. I will still play more serious in the box and tournaments but more laid back in the league where the fluff is the main thing, and if I have gone as high as I can right now, Im really happy with that :)

Harad is probably right. I was probably at my peak about two years ago - I don't give it the same thought nowadays so I'm probably not as good. I say probably a lot as I haven't given this a lot of thought either - it just resonated and sounds about right.

Ah AD you are one of the few people who genuinely has improved. I think I also have improved, some of it happened pretty quickly but you just have to look at my early replays to see the changes.

Rank: Super Star. CR: 161.

You are probably already close to the point where (for most people) the effort required to get much better isn't worth the reward.

When you can win a fair number of games, beat top coaches from time to time and win the occasional tournament, it is all good.

Most of the numbers don't mean that much in terms of how good you are. They just tell you how much you are winning.

If you mostly play your lizards, you'll get to 50% quicker. If you mostly play those gobbos, it may never happen. ;)

Good players with crap records make the pickers rant. ;)

If I dont get any higher, thats okay for me. The last year of so I have had more fun playing and therefore gotten more focused on the game and how to win, than before. I hope thats whats refelcting on the stats and it is just a fun thing to follow. It is not that I check every 10 matches to see how it is and I will probobly forget it when I come around to game 800, cause I have forgotten about it every time when I got to a even number so I have had to backtrack for every blog lol. So, it is not that serious :)
