To schedule tournament games
I've experienced a few unpleasant communications with my opponents recently. The reason for the unpleasant experiences where that my opponents red but did not reply to my private message with a game time inquiry. Sometimes they did not even reply to my second or third message. It is simply annoying and rude to get treated like that.

Very true but that is why there are tournament admins. If you are not happy with how it is going, for whatever reason, simply invite them along. Personally this isn't something I've had much of a problem with as most people are polite and prompt, however if you've hit a bad run then look on your tourney page to see which admin you should be contacting.

Dominik, when you say second or third message do you send a new PM or re-post in the first one? As a Tournament Admin I would advise to just use one PM thread and invite the appropriate Admin to the conversation as soon as you feel like the game may not be arranged in time and not be played. If I am the Admin invite me to the first one you send so I can help things along and save you being as frustrated as you seem to be.

Also remember that if you follow the procedure set down for the Admins to follow you will not be penalised for being ignored as long as the Admin as invited.

Good luck, Dalfort.

(P.S. If this is a NAF Tournament issue, then I politely defer to Purplegoo and his team.)

Oh man, this is the end of the world, I'm on Dominik's side on this one. :D

It's not an issue when your opponent doesn't show up at all, but it's a real pita when you have a tight schedule and the guy reads your PMs but doesn't answer before the 6th day...

Oh, and just in case: if that's a guy you've played (and PM'ed) before, send a new PM for every game: if he's moved the old PMs to the trash, your replies won't show up at all, so it's no wonder he doesn't respond (I remember almost raging at Geggster once because he wouldn't read his PM - I had bumped an old one instead of sending a fresh message).

What kind of douche canoe would move a tournament scheduling PM to the trash without responding or scheduling?

"I've experienced a few unpleasant communications with my opponents recently."

Oh really? Have you thought about the common factor in these communications?
