Looking back at my last blog (1 year and a half ago)
Don't know, I was looking at my last blog entry... 1 year and a half ago more or less.
That was really my worst career injury indeed...
I'm rather fine now, but didn't play any sports until then...
I'm now 37 (38 on February), can't risk to broke something else again :)
For a complete list :D
- 3 years old: inguinal hernia
- 8 y: broken right tibia
- 14 y: tear right meniscus
- 18 y: varicocele surgery (left)
- 27 y: Achilles tendon rupture (right)
- 36 y: quadriceps tendon rupture
Additionally, I'm myopic (not so much, but still...) and I had other minor injuries (like dislocated finger, etc...)
Oh well, I was able to recover everytime, I was always optimistic and that helped me, there are really worst injuries and worst health situations than mine... additionaly, I discovered Fumbbl when I broke my Achilles tendon!!!
So yes, I'm a very lucky guy anyway ;)

It rather depends on the type of sport and your disposition towards competitveness. Played my first football match for years last weekend at 53 and came though it fine. my last injury was a broken right ankle last year.
Had a few blood clots and a pulmonary embolism over past 7 years.
Last American football match ended with cruciate ligament tear in left knee I was 35 for that.
Golf, Tennis, Swimming all sports which I feel may be worth trying out, I know I have no chance of playing Gridiron, Rugby Ice hockey or Boxing now so it is all relative to the level and type of sport you wish to compete in.
If that makes sense :D
