CIBBL Pre-Game 2 Swan Riders vs Patala-loka Guardians
Greetings sports fans,

Eichenschatten is very busy, since our opponent for the 2nd Round in the Pit Division arrived earlier. It is a Blood Naga Team with the name Patala-loka Guardians (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?op=view&team_id=1020517 ). As a matter of fact arrived even earlier than the Zoats and demanded to play their game against the Swan Riders immediately! CIBBL officials managed to calm the situation, but there were some intense moments. It didn't help the situation that some of the players of the Guardians demanded “blood and souls“ as dinner from our Chef. Thank Esmeralda, some of the menus designed for our Sylvanian neighbors and the Chaos Halflings got well with them and the crisis was averted. The Patala-loka Guardians are coming from a defeat 3-1 from division favorite Corpse Run Nightmares ( https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4277105 ) and it is expected to come determined for the win against our beloved Swan Riders.

As far as concerning the Swan Riders, they have also lost their first game against the Zoat team Crystal Mere Mystics ( https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4278959 ) 0-1. As it was expected the League is very tough for our little boys with the most of our players not tolerating the hits. We sustained 3 injuries (one dead and another one with the career-end injury) and many Knock/outs. Our numbers dwindled fast and unfortunately our 21 blocks and 2 fouls were very soft! 14000 fans were on the Grove Stadion and maybe did not exactly see one fantastic game. First Half the Halfling attack was easily stopped by the Zoats (who played a conservative, but very objective-oriented game). They were some chances for scoring for both teams, but none managed to convert them in Tds. During second half time became very obvious that the halfling team had not any more resources to cope with the Zoat attack, who stalled until the last of their round. The game ends with a spectacular try for a 1TTD, who almost succeeded if it was not for the last dodge. In general, the Swan Riders did not manage to gather any SPP except the MVP, but they lost only 0-1 and with some luck they could also take the draw. Problematic was the collapse during the second halftime, but with so much low numbers and low hitting power none could expect more. After the end of the game the coach picked three new halflings from the hardcore fans to be part of the team against the Patala-loka Guardians!

Stay tuned!

Did you Know...? #2
… that the Halflings of Moot (and off-course the Swan Riders among them) do not have any idea what the Blood Nagas are! The team and the players are a mystery and all the sports cafes and restaurants are making theories and hypotheses about them. They seem to be some snakes with vampiric characteristics, more we cannot say. During some of the meals devoted to examine the case, some older wise fans of the Swan Riders remembered that there was a poor Snakeman fella, who was trying to make his living playing for the few Chaos Halfling teams in the lower Leagues of Moot during the late 60s. According to them, he was pretty decent for top level fantasy football, but a series of serious injuries made his professional career short. Stranded far away from his land (Snakemen players enjoyed a bit fame throughout the World as targets in the transfer market after the Blood Bowl 2467 Final, when Chaos All-Stars were captained by a Snakeman!), tried to survive as a player in the amateur levels, but he got in such a downward spiral that finally he could only find job and decent pay in Moot. He even played one or two games against the Swan Riders and he was well regarded from the coaches in Moot for his Prehensile Tail that made Dodges a bit more difficult.
