Greeting sports fans,

Eichenschatten still is rolling on the festive atmosphere of the glorious post game party after the 1-1 draw against the Potala-loka Guardians (https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4279640 ). It was very difficult for the coach to establish again the discipline inside the team, but... the CIBBL saga for the young Halfling franchise from the Mootland must continue!

This time the next opponent of the Swan Riders are the Minotaur team Blood Mountain Minos (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?op=view&team_id=1016501). Again this is the first official meeting of Halfling against Minotaurs in the CIBBL league structure and the crowd is excited to see how the match-up will go. A small benefit is that our coach Kharigor is training a Minotaur team in an another League (SLICC), the Minoan Bulls, also known as the “unreliable Minos“ with strange pacifist tendencies and a bad record (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=1011324).

The Blood Mountain Minos did not have the best of starts in the Pit Division with only defeats in their two first games. One of these defeats came interestingly against one another stunty team the mighty (and undefeated!) Spitepeak Sabotage (https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4276204). Off course it will be fatal for us to ignore these frenzy beasts of strength and the team must concentrate hard to play against them (and survive...). Nevertheless, the sports restaurants of Eichenschatten are preparing and serving during the game day the famous “living Hef” beef steak, named by the poor Minotaur Hef Horngar who was eaten alive during one post-match feast of the historical Bluebay Crammers. Oh, this is going to make the Minotaurs so mad!

… that Minotaurs have also played in the Halfling lower regional Leagues! The rules of Moot amateur fantasy football is not so well defined as the professional standard leagues, which clearly determines the structures of the Halfling teams. In general, the various League boards are asking that the various teams must comprised of mainly Halflings, two Big Guys and max. 1-2 free agents “Stars“, but there have been a lot of exceptions and normally a good meal could solve any disputes and objections. Besides the known case of Chaos Halflings (and of -surprisingly!- also desperate normal Halfling teams), who recruit sporadically Minotaurs as Big Guys, there have been also teams of small Brays (stunty Beastmen) who were allowed through naturalization to field teams in the Moot league systems and use predominantly young Minotaurs. There is also one popular, but absolutely unconfirmed rumor that the famous Minotaur star Grashnak Blackhoof played some of his first games of Fantasy Football in Moot in early 80s and that our famous coach Hansi Missclick tested the future Drakwalder Legend as alternative Big Guy, when he was working his vision of a fast Halfling team in the 80s. But this story seems more as a funny myth told by drunken fans in the various sports pubs in Eichenschatten than a real fact.
