[DLE] Why everyone wants the Wreckers scouts Pt 2 (And also why everyone wants the development team)
Continuing on from the last blog this time we are looking into other players that have come into the Wreckers and developed well. This blog will include UDFA players and traded players.

Barker Legeux

Legaeux currently holds the record for most games played with the Wreckers at 53. He came in season 1 as a UDFA player already being able to block when he joined. He progress has been slow but since then he's become a good sweeper learning to diving tackle and sidestep and isn't far off gaining a new level of ability.

Maurice Van Hoosengold

Another UDFA from season 1 Van Hoosengold joined the wreckers being able to guard from the off. Since then he has also learnt how to tackle, deliver a mighty blow and stand firm in the face of the opposition. Another player on the cusp of attaining another level he proves the scouting abilities and the development team of the Wreckers are of the highest quality.

James Hanna

Hanna is added to this list due to the good scouting work more than the work of the development team. After the sale of Clifton Coach Hoodless worked quickly to rebuild the Wreckers for a playoff push in the second half of season 3. Hanna was brought in for a 2nd round pick and raised a few eyebrows as his skill set was a departure from the Wreckers usual tactics. Less a Blitzer and more of a Catcher Hanna repaid the faith put in him by scoring 6 TD and getting an Int in the final 7 games securing the Wreckers a place in the playoffs. Hanna's form would continue scoring both in the win against Cascade and the loss against the Legion in the playoffs. Hanna has developed a little during his time with the Wreckers picking up the ability to guard while there. Injury has hampered his season and there are rumours he will leave the Wreckers at the end of the season but his contribution to the team cannot be underestimated.

Ben Tate

Ben Tate also came in the mid season window in season 3 alongside Hanna. He came in a swap for Peyton Manning and only came equipped with the ability to Guard. Since then he has been working his ground and pound skills and has developed the ability to both deliver a mighty blow and also to pile on the opponents to inflict more damage. Another triumph for the development team as Tate's value has increased vastly since he joined.

Tim Brown

Possibly one of the best deals made by the Wreckers Tim Brown came from the Razorbacks in the pre season leading up to season 4. The razorbacks had decided that an injury to Brown had stunted his development too much and he was shipped out for a lowly future 3rd rounder. The Wreckers obviously spotted something in Tim Brown as after only 2 games Brown attained a new level of agility. He has only gone from strength to strenth since then learning to block and recently training with Damontre Moore to learn how to leap over the opposition. With an impressive 12 TD's and 8 Completions in 13 games Tim Brown is the crown jewel of the scouting teams success.

This segment has seen more in the development of players at Monte Castello but still showcases their ability to turn players into stars internally. Next time the focus will be on the draft picks, where they were picked and how they've had an impact on the team.

(side note. Another entry has been placed in the first blog as it suited there more than here due to him starting as a rookie. Be sure to check it out!)
