A particles quality is not predetermined,
but defined by the very mind that's perceiving it.

"All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become."
- Gautama Buddha

“What we observe is not nature itself, but nature exposed to our method of questioning.”
- Werner Karl Heisenberg

"We may therefore regard matter as being constituted by the region of space in which the field is extremely intense... There is no place in this new kind of physics both for field and matter, for the field is the only reality."
- Albert Einstein

"As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear headed science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about atoms this much: There is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter."
- Max Planck

Reality is defined by the mind that is observing it.

There are whole websites dedicated to quotes of famous people. So why copy paste that?

Seems like you didn´t get the point of those quotes (in relation to BB) Postie.
Would´ve rated this a 7 if it was possible - great stuff!

Nice quotes Kwek. Max Planck is great! A scientist and a Christian!!!! I like his statement: "No matter where and how far we look, nowhere do we find contradiction between religion and science - there is complete concordance."

This is only according to the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics, which in my opinion is wrong. Bohmian mechanics fits the experimental results just as well, and has the advantage of being deterministic. In this view, the observer doesn't affect the experiment, unless the observer is himself part of the experiment.

Nearly correct.
A particles quality is not predetermined, but defined by its interaction with its environment.
There is no need for a mind, just interaction. The molecules of Schrödinger's cat measure themselves, and thus the coherent state of -dead-and-alive decoheres very quickly into either dead or alive.

And of course, opting for a theory that explains the same but not more and is more difficult - just because you a priori want it to have a certain character - is unneeded and actually counterproductive.
There is no need and no evidence that nature is deterministic. Why should a theory then be that? Just because you want it that way? Then it is not science what you do.
When there is no need and no evidence for it, then you must nor include it.
