I'm sick of these as well. Especially from players who have been here long enough to know better.

In future the teams will be getting some very interesting names on them.

yeah, I can see the annoyance, but I don't usually look at the names. I do put in some effort and I hope people don't want to be force fed cheese from pythrr. I hear he doesn't wash his hands after he goes to the bathroom. :P

I support the idea of a bit more creativity, giving your player creative names for me gives them more personality. Boring player names/ team names (and stupid ass themes; the stupid ones)usually equates to boring person in my books. Can we just ban the boring people? :D

Are you talking about when I have a team and name, for instance a player Steve and then Steve dies....so I buy a new player with the same number and name him Steve 2. I don't see the problem with this.... I do it all the time. If this is against the rules I was not aware.

I do agree with pythrr 100% on this one. Fluff matters, talking, at least a minimum during game matters (and can make a one sided game a fun and good moment), etc.

So names matters, even a little. And if you have 0 imagination (oh! I pity you when you had / have to do some creative homework), then there is at least the name generator + some silly nicknames like "the stone", "ram". NFL, MMA, basket, E-Sport are full of pro players nicknames. Go and use those.

I hate this fumbbl rule.
It's the only one I hate, and it doesn't cost me much to give some random names to my players (I usually build a phrase, i.e. "Tomorrow I'm gonna go to the cinema with my girlfriend": my players will be called from "Tomorrow" to "Girlfriend"... In my native language ofc).
Still, if it was for me, all my players would be named from "1" to "11".

What really drives me crazy is... Why do people care about how I name MY players? You really "lose" enjoyment if you don't like my players' names? For me it's just like there was a law against "bad dressing" or "being too fat / too slim" in real life.
It would have much more sense, for example, a rule that forces you to chat in game (yes, a bit of chatting is always welcome).
Also, reporting a naming rule violation, which also costs the time to open the ticket, is something so far from my understanding...

Yes. Naming players with numbers as iterations of the same player is fine. Naming players BoB1, BoB2 and BoB3 sucks.

I did it once with new hobgoblins on my chaos dwarf team. However, I actually pictured it as slaves bought and named LoS1, LoS2 and LoS3 by their owners, who bought them for the purpose of dying an honorless death. Still got slapped on the wrist for it, of course. =)

And I sometimes do it while figuring out positionals before finalizing a team (and once forgot to name them before clicking 'finalize')
