Discord Server for [L]eague channels.
A few months ago, I kicked off a small league with goals of (a) having fun, and (b) learning things. Communication, I'm learning, is not only part of the success of the league, but part of the fun. I also know I'm bad at communicating, but I work in an industry that specializes in the infrastructure which facilitated other's communication. (I.e. I can do things to make it easier for other people to communicate, even if I'm shy and quiet myself.) And Discord would be one of those helpful communication infrastructures used by FUMBBL folks. (Alas, it was new to me when I came to the site.)

I've joined a few Discord servers in my time at FUMBBL. Each serves it's purpose well. And for the record, I love the Secret League server... but then I very much like Secret League teams and serve as a furry speed bump in CIBBL and I'm interested in most of the channels. (And I've learned to mute the channels which don't pertain to me.) I've also joined a couple servers which each provide communication for a single league, and that's another useful model, especially where the league commissioner needs special control or permissions. My little league of two or three dozen folks, probably don't need a whole server though, so I quietly asked around if there already existed an general purpose Discord server for small leagues. (Remember where I said I was quiet and shy? I didn't make a lot of noise about it.) Anyway, I didn't find one, so I figured I'd make one.

If there are other league commissioner looking for a league channel on a general purpose Discord server, talk to me. This server is also my learning opportunity, so I may request a little patience as I puzzle out exactly how to do things. The big green button at the top of this blog should serve as an invite to the server itself.

And my Nuffle always treat you fairly.
Unless you're playing against me, of course.

Feel free to pop by and see how we organised the swl discord: https://discord.gg/WsRgft

A bit of work went into it. Might give you some ideas. The difficulty you'll face is that people will get notifications from leagues in which they are not participating.
