My take on CRP humans
Well, I'm writing this entry at the sight of this forum thread...again discusing how bad are Humans (could point to this...wich in turn was instrumental in the creation of the Human League Premiership, a very good outcome)

Enought history, lets say that I'm not writing this one atop 1000+ Human matches but on the experiences collected with Empty. Just sharing the thoughts that led to that team.
I agree that this has little to do with majors and consistent high TV play, so may be those that think Humans should be better have a point (flufwise?), this is not an argument pro/against rules changes, just a few collected ideas:

-First speed, elf like speed. The hability to play along the pitch and streetch oposition. Some coaches start without Catchers and it works for thwm, I just don't understand how.
-Second ag3, one +ag from rat like. +Ag Catchers won me several matches.
-Thirth, skills and RRs. 1/9 is better than 1/6, coupled with that speed, you can play a running game that is more safe than that of most elves, if you don't try passing too much.
-Fourth, out with the Thrower. People love them, but I really don't like the passing game, or players that only work on offense. And Leader to make it cheap means you should protect him, when you allready have cheap RRs that cant be ClawPOMBed.
-Fifth, Ogre out too. Arguably, he rules at low TV, but he'll make your TV go high pretty quick at 140k, and there live the ClawPOMB for which a st5 av9 BG is like candy.
-Sixth, then what? Use MigthyBlow (and POMB 1-2). OK, Guard is great, and you lack strength compared to bashers, BUT causing damage is even more important, use speed to streetch the lines so that strength and Guard don't mean that much, and blitz the weack spots. Fewer players on the pitch (as long as it's not just fewer humans) means fewer TZs, and more use out of that high movement with less ag3 dodges.
-Seventh, Kick. May be not the ultimate skill, but it really helps with streetching the pitch. I'd gave it to a Catcher, as they tend to be protected instead of manning the LOS.

So defense was 3 linos for the LOS, 3 more players (1-2 linos, 1-2 Blitzers) to shield the rest, 1-2 Catchers one of them with Kick and 2-3 Blitzers, with Migthy Blow and posibly POMB.
I was lucky, it worked...to be true, one of the teams with which I've had a better record.

(Note: of course, feel free to disagree, this just worked for me, and I'm not sure about a posible remake)

How come you retired them?

So you're saying that blitzer-focused humans at mid-low TV are quite good? Yes, I wouldn't say that's streetching the truth.

@Araznaroth:...yes, +Ag, awfull... ;)
@Chainsaw: experiments, I'm allways doing them. That kind of human team suits my playstyle, but I like other teams best I'm afraid.
@the_Sage: yes, and a bit more, I'm saying that foregoing the passing game and strenght to foccuss on damage and speed worked fine for me (even about 1800TV, probably enought for most tabletop games)

Still a good read, 9 months later.
