In their 1st Vet Cup game the Cleavers won with some help from the Gods.
After scoring 1st and receiving the Cleavers watched as Odin sent a minion down to trip the evil witch elf as she tried to race over the goal line for a 1-1 game.
The humans then put on a display of elvish perfection, picking up the ball and passing it upfield. The Oath Breakers responded with a blitz POW on the ball carrier. The ball floated in the air a second, paused to reflect the moment, and then landed tendlerly into my Ogre's mits.
On T8 the Ogre passed the bonheaded roll and handed off to a waiting lineman for a 2-0 halftime lead. The Norse fans roared in satisfaction, while the elven players responded with finger gestures and curses.
Second half wasn't much better for the elves as an exposed ball carrier was quickly taken down. The ball landed in another elve's hands. But another series of bad blocks led to a take away the next turn and 3-0 score.
More mayhem followed, more Norse fans cheered our humans and more curses were thrown by the elves.
In the end, we move on and the elves were banished from the bloodbowl pitch, never to play again.
