Off to a flyer in prem yet again. Nothing the lads could do right. What should have been an easy game with Toby niggled, really ought to have been an easy win. They controlled position with ease at the start of each drive, only to nail ourselves on every critical roll. First action turnvers are a good way to destroy any position you have on the field. Not to mention Jim's elvish antics which were decidedly better than anything any of my elves could produce. De ja vu. Last game we were done in by the elvish antics of one of OB's longbeards.

At least they survived the game, but whether they survive Coach's wrath for their worst performance in prem is another thing.

Looking back at this game, OldBug coached his boys exceptionally well to avail themselves of the chances that came their way. Especially considering they only had two (iirc) ball players on the field. They needed some luck, but even more than that, they absolutely had to have their ball players right on the money. And they didn't let him down.

Twahnlow Votes:

3 votes: #3 Jim "Follow Me" Headstrong
The number of times we failed something, only to have Jim moon us and show us how its done...usually with thrice the difficulty and whilst in tackle zones. It was obscene. Not to mention *that* intercept and the fact we spent the entire game failing every move on him when he had the ball.

2 votes: #2 Slayer Stephen
Lost the game when he tripped Hopp'n in our first action of Turn 4. Had the dwarves completely out of position before this, but lost it all in this one move. Also led the charge in the second half after Jim had done his thing to extract the ball out of a difficult position by injuring the only real danger man, Antarctic Gale. His mates followed his example and stunned the only other elf in range of Jim.

1 vote: #9 Jim Handy
It could have simply been all Jim Headstrong's doing, or it could be just that name 'Jim', but twice Glacial tried to escape him and bring Jim the blitzer down. But even with rerolls there was no getting around Jim Handy.

Well it seems the Old_Gaffer is turning into my arch nemesis. As outlines by Snorri my un agile Dwarves played with their balls on the line in some situations making them daring moves that even elves would balk at.

And nuffle is a funny fella too, gifting Jim with an int and allowing him to run it back down field passing to a longbeard only to have him fail a GFI into the endzone to finish up the half.

Twahnlows:

3 votes: Twighlight Veil, this guy has proven to be a real pain in my backside both time I have played the guard. and this game was no different after he spoiled an ordinary looking stall by me

2 Votes: Hopp'n Mc'Cauldron, didnt do anything to amazing but always had me wondering where she was and what she could do.

1 Vote: Gothiqu'ne Romantika, first spp for her as she ran in a rather...well... totally easy TD.
