Ahhh... A nice gentle game of Elfball. Satan's Mechanics death was a tragedy no elf would condone, however his precarious skirting of the sidelines left Talaban with no choice but to push him into the crowd... where sadly a stray orc in the crowd must have torn him apart. Miyuso wimped out of the game.. leaving the Losers 1 Dragon warrior for the game. Ra-Hel got stuck into some Redbull before the game and was buzzing. While Talaban managed to sneak some vicious looking knuckle dusters onto the pitch.

A Palmed Coin saw us win the toss..... and away we went.
Game started in typical elf fashion. A well compiled play with some back field dodging before Karesh Var connected with Judon saw the "Echoes" go 1-0 up early. The Losers set up their drive well.. concentrating their blitz on Karesh Var, and sending DM deep into the "Echoes" half. We responded by caging DM and sending players to pressure his thrower, the team plan was to prevent a passing relay, and we paid particular attention to putting a tackle zone on the second thrower Fool tended to leave near the LOS. We couldnt tie up all the Losers but the plan worked with the ball heading to Satan's Mechanic who burst up field solo, hugging the sideline. (With Afore mentioned Results). Karesh Var put together a play that is almost becoming common place, leaping and dodging his way to the ball before launching the ball to the debutant Pendar who caught the ball in a tackle zone before calmly dodging out and handing off to Touchstone who sprinted in for the TD. A similar start from Fool saw DanielCollins as the lone Lion warrior sent into enemy territory. We did very little apart from cage him and threaten the relay thrower again. This time Fool didnt rush the play but sent more recievers downfield.. while holding the ball deep in his half with Whitey, he would have atleast 4 passing options next turn. Again not much from us besides tackle zones on all key players. Evidently fearing an intercept the Losers opted for a running play, using DM to cart the ball into the "Echoes" half but not risking a pass to any of their available catchers. Sadly a failed GFI left the brave catcher vulnerable again. We managed to free the ball but sadly the pass for Pendar was too long to Touchstone waiting in the endzone and he failed his GFI in turn. A Failed block from the Losers ended their bid for a late TD and both teams headed for the sheds. Echoes up 2-0 at Halftime.

An early failed block and all was looking rather dreary for the Losers. Karesh Var and Touchstone pressured Beefygoodness (Caught the ball from the Kickoff). The trap was evaded however and Whitey dropped into a deep pocket while Smegish II and OldBugman headed upfield. Again Fool offloaded the ball a little prematurely maybe, to DM near halfway, however despite him being knocked over and spilling the ball, the "Echoes" were unable to recover the pill, and the next turn DanielCollins pulled off a big dodging pickup play in tacklezones before handing off to Smegish II who dodged away for the TD. Game on thought Questor Anu.... and with no rerolls the "Echoes" were potentially quite vulnerable. Indeed it started very poorly when a pass in their own half saw Judon put down a Karesh Var spiral early in the turn without any ball receivers sent into the Losers half of the field. Left with little choice we opted for an elven cage on the LOS with Touchstone holding the ball. A failed block from Twahn and some decisive blocks of our own saw the Losers peel away like an orange in the face of our cage and Touchstone was able to pass to the unmarked Veris who sauntered in for the game winning TD. A blitz on the next kickoff meant we were never really headed.. with Karesh Var leaping over the Losers front line and effortlessly catching the kickoff. Holding the ball despite the best intentions of the High Elves sadly despite many attempts we were unable to break free of the elven body mass and the game ended there.
Fulltime 3-1 to the Echoes.

A good game played with some mutual elvish respect. With the rumours that our conference is safe from relegations lets hope the 3 elf teams can storm home anyway with some beautiful ass'ey games. (The way bloodbowl should be played.. the ass'ey way.. the elf way). All the best Fool, our games continue to be close fought humdingers, look forward to an SWL rematch in the future.

Twahnlow:
3 Votes to #3 DanielCollins - In a dissapointing performance from the Losers his play to setup their lone TD was the class that stood out from the rest.

2 Votes to #14 Whitey - The ever reliable Phoenix warrior of the Losers, didnt put a foot wrong but perhaps didnt really show his class.

1 Vote to #6 Smegish II - Not too much to speak of.. but was in the right place to accept the handoff and score the Losers TD.

#1 Satan's Mechanic – Dead (RIP)
Twahnlows:

#12 Karesh Var - 3pts: good passing and was all over the field making a nuissance of himself. Nice job directing the offense.

#3 Touchstone - 2pts: A TD and a key pass. Not bad for a guy named Touchstone.

#11 Judon - 1 pt: He scored and had to GFI to do it. One of many elves to stymy my every move.

Good luck Rabid for the rest of season!
