---------------------
This was a fun but farce of a game. My opponent was good, but the dice were incredibly one sided for the first half, and one turn in the second. I didn't play my best either, wasting a RR on a one dice block I thought was a two dicer, and also not seeing a Nerves of Steel catcher I shoulda covered better. Happens on 1.5 hours sleep. However, it was a fun game, and I got some money, and a +AG advance on the Thrower post game so it was a great day.
-------------------
The Falcons started in offence, and got a quick snap, and caused a RIP on a Lineman with their opening blocks (apoth used - ouch!).

The Falcons were able to get a score with their young witch.

The Zena lined up in offence and the Falcons applied strong pressure, but critically, not enough on a NOS Catcher (should have put tackle on at least). The Zena made a 2+ pass, catch, 2 dodges to get the ball to the Catcher, then 2 dodges and 2 GFI to tie the scores.

Then the game fell apart as Nuffle reigned supreme.

The Zena got a blitz and got a player under the ball, but another player failed a GFI and Badly Hurt himself. The Falcons knocked the ball carrier over but got a bad scatter. A 1 was rolled on the pick up using a Team Reroll and thus instead of GFI to reduce the range, a 3+ Long Pass was attempted. A 1 and a 2 came up and the Zena got the ball and scored to take a 2-1 lead. Damn blitz and damn 1 pick up, and dame 1/9 chance to fail the pass heh.

Next drive the Falcons got the ball deep to Valdrek, but without any RR left, the Falcons chose not to try a GFI to score.

The Zena then made several dodges (including a 3+) to knock Valdrek over. Critically, he was stunned as well! Zena ran the ball to the corner with two screeners.

No problem, a score was still possible. A 2+ Leap would block off a pushback square, then a Str4 Blitzer could push the player one out into the guy into the corner and the ball would go out of bounds with Falcons players around the place to pick up the ball. Leap - 1. Turn over.

Opponent then makes a string of 2+ rolls to advance the ball deep. That passage of play was so unfair heh. Opponent rolls 2s and and 3s on either side of my turn and I cant get the single 2+ required to set up a ball stealing attempt.

The Falcons chase the ball carrier down and knock him over, but then snake a dodge. More 1s for me!

The Zena were able to take score to take a commanding 3-1 lead.

The second half was much more equal, apart from one passage of play where the Falcons were pressuring to stop a score. The Zena had struggled to penetrate the Falcons defence initially, had formed a cage in the Falcons half after the Falcons spread out. The Falcons crashed the cage and put tackle zones everywhere. The Zena then had some luck to help them out to a score. First a 3+ Leap. Then a one dice blitz needing a pow (or I would sidestep and be standing with Tackle). It came up skull, rerolled into Pow. With no rerroll left, my opponent makes a 2+ dodge with Dodge, then a 3+ dodge (Tackle) then another 2+ dodge with Dodge to score. More 3+ and 2+ plays to score, why can't my team do it?!?!?!

On offence, after setting up a possible score, my tired dazzled brain sees a two dice block where there was not one. I roll a Skull. Have to use a team RR and get a Skull/Pow.

Next, I set up a 3 dice blitz to free up the Witch I want to score with. Skull, Skull, Skull/Pow. So she is stuck next to a Dviing Tackle Tackler. I need a 4+. What do I roll? A 1!!! So that turn I rolled: 1,2,1,1,2,1!!!!

Only my opponent snaking a GFI Blitz (or rolling two 1s out of three rolls) allowed me the second chance to score.

The second half was a more even 1-1 result.
-----------------------
What a game. I kept failing the critical rolls, whilst my opponent failed nothing important except one Blitz attempt to steal the ball. Several 2+ and 3+ plays were made by him, but I failed my 3+ and 2+ plays repeatedly. Still it was a fun game and I can wear a FF loss now and then too, especially with no permanent injuries, no aging, some money, and +1 Agility to the Thrower to boot!

I'll take that sort of dice rape anyday.

Well played by my opponent though. Some luck is required to beat the Blood Falcons when they all show up and the handcaps are average. Just a bit too much luck though this game though so the result was not in doubt very early which is a shame.
