#14 Bertrand Must-kill – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#14 Bertrand Must-kill – Smashed Knee (NI)
Now gamenutter is a damn fine coach, and he outplayed me in this game, especially in the first half.

With that out of the way....

This is one of those games where the luck meter doesn't really tell the story very well.

For instance:
The luck meter doesn't show the interception that I threw (didn't have great options, had to throw it over his catcher) where safe throw failed, rerolled and failed again. This is a 1.2% chance event that turned into an immediate Touchdown against.

The luckmeter doesn't show the failed dodge away from Diving Tackle (with re-roll, 75% chance of success) that resulted in Bertrand gaining a niggle. Nor does it show the failed Apothecary roll on that event. If he had made the dodge, we had a pretty good chance of getting away for a TD, but instead...rack up another for Hayashi.

The Luck Meter doesn't show the failure of Gorge Berzerkely to bring down the opposing blockless thrower on 2 dice...again a 75% chance of success. Had we made that block, it was an almost certain TD for us, but instead.. they get away and rack up another TD.

Of course I could have helped things along with some better planning in quite a few cases, and the Hayashi are simply a better team and deserved to win. I would also point out that Hayashi had some regrettable dice of their own, without which I would not have had some of the chances to fail that I noted above.

So don't think this is a whine by any means.

Just pointing out that the luck meter doesn't always show the story of the game, and this is a fine example.

Thanks for the game gamenutter, always a pleasure!
And good luck in the Ulthuan :)

Taut is exactly right, the luckmeter does not describe this game.

It was a fun game and tautology is one of the toughest coaches on fumbbl. I always have a great time playing him.

Cya later and rematch anytime!
