The Slash took to the field again, or may I say, icecube. The pitch was frozen solid the entire game, but the Amazons weren't! They played an outstanding match against a team which was evenly matched. They earned 19 points towards the Blitz Invitational and have moved into third. They probably will pass the Shadow Bite since they are only two points behind them, taking them into 2nd place and clear of the consolation crums match.

The game was brutal for the Necromantic team. The score says all and the luck meter was actually right this time. No wait, it is wrong. Coach Oblitzamanger had more like 80% luck this game.

It started with Patricia failing the first pick up roll with a team re-roll. But after that, nothing could go wrong for the team. They were hesitant which way to rush first since they couldn't pass in a blizzard, but when T and T's only werewolf and a wight went off to crowdpush poor Molly, the other side of the pitch was clear enough to form a cage in, headed by the guarding Samira. After a badly hurt that didn't regenerate, the Slash ran into the endzone easy, and Patricia earned her first SPPs.

The counterattack did not go well as the Slash covered up all the holes in their line easily. This forced the wight to cross their front line to move the ball into a clearer area, but he failed a go for it with a roll of 2. That ice on the pitch was too slippery for him. As he fell, so fell T and T's hopes for scoring in the first half. The half ended 1 - 0.

The second half started with a perfect kick that landed in their endzone. After some skirmishes on the front line, the Slash couldn't break through the line. The ghoul carrying the ball advanced with caution, not knowing which side of the well balanced defense to attack. Eventually, the ghoul picked a side, and the Slash threw everything they had at the spot. Even Flesh Golems could not block the Zons from getting to the ballcarrier, as it was knocked loose near the end of the game. This, coupled with their werewolf being stunned, ended their chances of scoring again. But the Slash wasn't finished. Lindsay rushed from the backfield where there was a small 5 player skirmish to pick up the ball and move two squares going for it without fail. On their last turn, all she did was walk it in. 2 - 0.

We got a statement from coach Oblitzamanger after the game. He said, "I want to thank coach Wilf for playing the match and I wish him good luck with his team. It must have been broing for him, and frustrating, not being able to knock down the girls when he needed to. But as he said at the beginning of the match, Dodge is very useful.

"The game towards turn 14 became sorta boring for me too. I was excited I was going to win, but I knew no matter what I did, I would succeed. There was no excitement that things could turn out another way. In that way, I am sorry for the dice-rape Wilf and any negative comments which may have upset you. I am also sorry for the dice-rape myself, because it became not fun.

Regardless, the team won huge and picked up a load of points for the Blitz Invitational. It seems that the original mark of 56 points is not very high, as the Slash is on 54, ready to pounce into second place. They earned two new skills. One block and one kick. And they became a better team through more training as I bought a team re-roll with the prize money from the game. The team's treasury has 30k in it, money I plan to use for a new player before the Championships."

He then ran off into the center of the pitch to make a sacrifice to Nuffle. Who can blame him for being so pious after that luck spree!?!

We also got a statement from Samira, who is the team's only guarder. She may not have earned any SPPs, but using her skill, she made the difference in the game. "The team couldn't have score dthe first touchdown without me. I give props to Patricia, but I was really the key factor in that cage. I also prevented the front line from being broken in the second half and I was able to guard as we knocked down the ballcarrier. I am so good, coach Oblitzamanger doesn't know what to do with me. He's in for trouble if I don't want to play someday. He's pushing the envelope too. If he yells at me in practice one more time for cleaning my nails, I'l..."

That was all she said before she shreiked and raced to the lockeroom.

The team is looking good for the Blitz Invitational. We'll see how they perform in their last match before the Championships.
