Today sees the League of Exhumed Gentlemen take on the Gully Gang - a team from the chaos wastes with a score to settle. Despite the forecast of rain and showers throughout the match I'm sure the lads will give us a great show!"

As the siren sounded the League's Wights sprang into action, knocking out a beastman and badly hurting another two in four heated turns of movement of violence. The gully gang resolutely surrounded undead cages again and again only to have them break open as Gentleman star player Dorian Gray burst through their ranks again and again. As he sped up to the touchdown line an early touchdown looked assured when suddenly Lord Gully himself launched himself at Mr. Gray, taking him down and leaving the ball skidding on the wet grass.

The crowds watched as both teams vyed for the ball as it slipped from team to team, the wet glass making the ball slick and hard to grasp onto. The chaos beastman Starkers grabbed the ball and made a desperate charge out of the growing scrum only to be taken down by the combined efforts of a furious Madeline Usher and Mina Harker. As the ball flew across the pitch it changed hands again and again finaly landing improbably in the hands of a surprised Dr. Jekyll the mummy who promptly knocked down his opponent and handed the ball to team captain Quartermain! Quartermain charged through an opening and hurled the ball towards Harker and Gray waiting in the end zone only to have the wet ball skid free again. In the final moments of the half Gray managed to slip out of his rival's tackle zones and slam a touchdown into the sodden grass.

In the second half the skies cleared and the chaos boys readied themselves for a countercharge. As Lord Gully issued a warcry his team surged forward, scattering the Gentlemen's defences and injuring Madeline Usher so badly that even her regenerative powers couldn't save her. A frantic defensive game played by the undead saw possession land in the hands of Dorian Gray once again but this time Lord Gully was waiting for him. The mighty warrior of chaos smashed his fists into the undead player, knocking him to the ground and then casually walked over to the ball and picking it up, glaring defiance at anyone who would suggest the game was over yet. Strutting back to his cohorts, the Lord failed to see a treacherous rip in the turf and his play was ruined as his armour caught in the snag, dropping him to the ground and placing the ball in the hands of the inestible Mrs. Harker. A quick hand off to Rodney Skinner and the chaos team realised they were going to have to work hard to equalise from here on in.

Undeterred the chaos opened with another devastating offensive, badly hurting another undead zombie with Beastman Handlebars charging through the line clutching the ball to his chest. Despite the efforts of the entire undead team, the beastman resolutely pushed forward and scored a lightning fast touchdown. An equalised game was in sight.

In the final turns Quartermain did his best to score one final touchdown for the undead but the chaos defence proved too versatile. The match ended at 2-1, with the undead ahead by a hair.”
