“A hard-fought game between two comparable undead teams.

As we've grown used to, we were the one on the receiving end of the pounding, with a dead zombie first block of the game, and one brand new wight to be retired due to niggling. Also disappointing was the loss of FF despite the victory, but I'm kinda used of this love-hate relationship with FF rolls anyway :)

As far as actual gaming things went much better for me... rerolls helped with some crucial blitzes on sarcasmo's ball carriers who were just about to score the leading TD during his offence drive, and thus we were able to finish 0-0 after the first whistle of the ref: good news, as I badly needed some reinforcements from the (rather depleted itself) bench.

Second half we managed to advance compact thanks to some good blocking (for once), until we were able to send a pair of ghouls downfield for a turn 5 TD. This was helped by one of the few "mistakes" opponent made, failing a 4+ dodge with reroll (75% chance anyway) with a wight.

During the last 3 turns of the game sarcasmo tried to go for the equalizer, but a lone running wight was blitzed down by ghouls, and some failed blocks eventually kept the score to 0-1.

On overall, some luck for me with blitzes and bouces, and good bashing by sarcasmo's mummies made for a tense, challenging match. As I said rematch will come soon... as soon as I can get my TR to rise rather than fall ;)
