“"Take him down!" yelled Samuel Klicket. Chaos Dwarf Ovig Figgin was trying to knock down one of the mighty Mummies, and was successful. "I think we got a game here," he said in triumph as the team moved closer to the ball.

Blocker Gurg Sasor damaged the back of the Zombie Harold without regenerating, who once was a Wood Elf, and the team kept on chugging away as the ball was again dropped in the backfield.

But the play stopped as the medics rushed onto the field to patch up Blocker Egren Jurgabent's damaged back. Play continued with Bull Centaur Lipren Hoosadd recieving mixed messages from Klicket and head coach Oblitzamanger. He accidently dodged when he was not supposed to and missed the chance to put heavy pressure on the ball.

"Shit Klicket! Let me do the coaching here! You just messed up the play! scolded Coach Oblitzamanger. But the Sledgehammers were not about to give up a touchdown. As Hobgoblin Quench was knocked out, Wight Ghastrot was tripped up in a dodge, and fell hard to the turf. That allowed the other Bull Centaur, Hreal Mournshed, to blitz the ballcarrier, only pushing the Ghoul back.

He then dodged away and passed to the other Ghoul right next to him, and Hobgoblin Scanthel. Scanthel tripped the Ghoul up while dodging and the ball went free with several Chaos Dwarf players around it. Scanthel picked up the ball and ran with it as Hreal crowdpushed the first Ghoul.

With more failed dodges, Scanthel was able to run freely upfield with the protection of Lipren. Despite a desperate blitz from Ghastrot which knocked down Scanthel and freed the ball, Lipren brushed him away and Scanthel was able to get up and score as the ref blew the halftime whistle.

Quench regained conciousness and played instead of Nipper. The agile Hortet was put in play to secure the win. But it was Hreal who caught the kickoff. Despite early setbacks, Hreal found a gap in the Minions' line and made a dash for it. Unfortunately, it was then when Gurg got the nerve in his side pinched, and with the apothecary out of medicine and bandages, he would have to suffer the results of the blow.

Confronted by Ghoul Krodar, Hreal gouged his eye while he went for the ball, and rushed up the field. But Wight Ghastrot was on his heels, or he was until he tripped on his own heels. Falling flat on his face, he could only watch Klicket jump for joy as Hreal scored the first touchdown ever made by a Bull Centaur on the team.

Mummy Brador tripped up on his ancient feet too as he went for it to blitz Hreal on their final attempt to score back. The Sledgehammers fought hard to keep their perfect defensive record of no touchdowns allowed.

Zombie Necrorot badly hurt Hortet, but Ghoul Vredar missed his pass and it went into the middle of the pitch. Hreal corwdpushed Ghastrot and Lipren blitzed Wight Shroudbone off the pitch too. Vredar tried to make up for it by blitzing Scanthel in the backfield and several times managed to stay on his feet against two players. But a well set up play involving a blitz to get Vredar next to the sideline, and a crowdpush to send him hurling into the crowd, ended up with the poor Ghoul's leg fractured by the rowdy fans. The game ended 2 - 0 Skull Lake Sledgehammers.

Klicket jumped fo rjoy, but Coach oblitzamanger knew that with Gurg niggled, the team would either have to replace him or suffer his injury together. So, to make up for it, Oblitzamanger, who got a good sum of money to help pay off his debt, asked Klicket for a Big Guy to play for the team. Klicket fetched Troll Bong de Kosh from the ranks of the prisoners. So the team would keep Gurg at least for a little while, while enjoying the hitting power of the Troll. However, as they moved up in level of TR, things were only going to get harder...”
