“This was one of the most exciting matches we've seen in a long time! And for a Stunty match, that is saying something!

Lord Blum's team got off to a great start when a bumbled kick allowed their team leader to personally field the football. Positioned as he was, on the flanks, it was a trivial matter for him to outrun the Bop's Treeladies and saunter down for the early score. Despite their veyr best efforts, the Fairies could not halt his impressive momentum.

The Bops proceeded to do some charging of their own on the next kickoff. They worked the ball down the flank, led by the 3 Treeladies who bashed Lord Blum FC all over the field! By the close of the half, the game was 1-1 with a great number of Vamplings in the injured box, having been on the wrong side of the tree's wrath. However, the score was a close one, as some valiant Vampling attempts to tackle the ball-carrying Donella very nearly came off.

In the second, the Bops scored again, using much the same method. However, the price was severe! Treelady Nerida was killed, as the Vamplings, having bribed the referees with sweet young virgins from their dungeons, fouled her to death! Due in part to this appaling outburst, the Bops scored fairly early on...

Next, literally quaking at the prospect of Lord Blum being deployed on the flanks, the Bops were pleasantly astounded to see him set up in the middle. Clearly he was trying to fell another Tree! But he may have been better served trying to score...

And so it proved. The Bops held a strong defensive formation, yet despite this, the Vamplings were able to break through at the last with some wonderful athletic play. Unfortunately, in the dying (pun intended) seconds, the dead-cert scorer got tangled up in his own shoelaces and fell, fumbling the football! Time for some slip-ons, somebody commented...

The Bops did send Nerida's remains to the lumber yard, yet sadly could not conjure up enough cash for a replacement. They did however purchase an apothecary, though it seems somewhat too late for that...

Otherwise, there were tremendous exchanges between the coaches during the match and, by the end, even their usually-disinterested wives were engrossed in the game! Despite the competetive nature of the game, both coaches parted on excellent terms and are looking forward to a rematch.
