We had our chances, after a bobbled pass by the orcs we stole the ball and advanced it down the pitch. Unfortunately we couldn't get that one last roll to go our way to finish the scoring, and the orcs took the ball back and marched in for a 1-0 halftime lead. Along the way they were ko'ing rats left and right, giving a concussion to H'sam.

Rats line up for a OTS try, and a freak blizzard shows up from nowhere. No problem, we still chainpush our agi6 gutter so he'll need only a single gfi, his agility will get him through the picket line of orcs at their goalline, all he needs is the ball. That's when we belatedly remember...in a blizzard, only quick or short passes allowed, and our gutter is now too far away to pass to. In frustration, one last lino punches a lineorc's nose clean through his brain, ending the half with red snow at the 50 yard line.

Second half we score (as rats tend to do), and have gotten back most of our ko's. We just need to somehow stop a monster orc team from scoring for the next 7 turns...

Orcs continue their bashy ways, though this half we're giving as good as we're getting, snapping the ribs of a monster blitzer and sending a couple orcs ko along with all the losses we're piling up. It was at this moment the orcs got a touch cocky, and left their blodge blitzer ballboy by himself. (Say that 5 times fast...) In races our str4/tackle mega-gutter to jar the ball loose, our agi6/bighand gutter snakes through the line to snatch the ball in multiple tz's and pass it forward to the third member of the gutter squad, our str3/claw gutter racing for paydirt. The orcs are too stunned at this turn of events and unable to mount a fast enough chase. Rats win 2-1 as the buzzers ounds.
