“Pre-game media hype might have suggested that the girls hired Zara for this match because they were miffed at the bad press folks like the Channel Four News team had been dishing out to them in the off season.

For the record the truth is that Zara had been retained for a playoff (against some undead) that never happened. And some of the girls really fancy big Ron and his wonder-tash so no way do they have a grudge on Channel Four. They program their videos for him !

But even without Zara, the girls were the on-paper favourites in a big way for this match. And then of course, in his/hers/its infinite lack of wisdom, Nuffle inflicted early dicey silliness on my opponent with 3 AV breaks from the game's first four hits...one including his only tackler who did not return from that KO until the game was about over already.

By the end of the first half the girls had scored easily, and managed to shut out the Channel Four response despite some at times sketchy defending. The second half saw some more impressive defence, and later an intercept, giving the girls two more scores.
