“Entering the game with 10 orcs I had this game pegged as merely a "get MNG back, maybe get cash for new player, expect to lose" situation. But after my boys scored first and his elves fumbled the ball right by the LOS, I thought hey, I might have a shot after all!

Oh, you silly Nuffle for giving me a fleeting moment of hope! Of course his elves picked up the ball in 3 tz's and passed ahead for the score. I fail my gfi's to get into position to counter-score, and half ends 1-1.

Second half begins, again the elves fumble near the LOS! Surround the ball, pick it up...and fail my gfi to get behind my screeners. Ball bounces into crowd, who send it into elven territory, easy score. Score 2-1, elves. He rolls POW on my blodge thrower, scoops it up, score 3-1. I fail my pass (4 consecutive 1's, as I got a second chance next turn) and he scores, 4-1. End of game, I have a bob open for his skill, he catches the pass...and fails his gfi for paydirt.

Yep, that kind of day, where orcs can bash and do nothing else, where elves don't care how many tz's are in the way but score at will and make orcs look like idiots. Joy.

But mission accomplished...MNG back, new blitzer added to roster. Maybe I'll have better luck next match. Better go back to playing vs chaos and khemri, though...I fare better than vs elves!”
