“The stunts prepared for this match by going to the Welves previous game. Having watched their impressive performance they knew that this weaker team would still prove challenging.
So they stormed on to the pitch and demanded that the game be played immediately once the finally whistle sounded. The Welves bravely accepted and were soon 1-0 up proving that they weren't tired at all.
The stunts set-up for the slow grind, but sadly the game had been held up for injury time and none of the stunts could reach the endzone in time due to their captain Eraser taking a nap in the KO box, instead of coordinating the attack.
The second half saw a scary moment off the kick with relative new comer The 6th Day fumbling the ball in the rain. Luckily the Welves just couldn't quite reach and he handed off to Pumping Iron. The stunts then started breaking heads and slowly marched down the field. For one moment they considered trying for 2 TDs in the half, but with the Welves still having more than 3 players left to field decided to play it safe against a team who could easily be challenging for promotion. The crowd didn't like this and the boring final TD by The 6th Day saw booing from the crowd.
The stunts are looking forward to the challenge of the next match with another promotion hopeful in the Class of '99”

Fan's and team alike are always aware of the damage Dwarves can and have done to this team in the past. The emblem was adopted to commemorate the death of 2 of the players in the team's debut game.
Today the apothecary did his job and for the most part the Elves kept out of harms way.
Receiving the kick in the 1st half the Redygwyr made their blocks then got out of the way to score quickly. They then used a hit and run style defence to hold the Stunts out for the rest of the half.
In the second half the team had 2 good opportunities for a turnover. Early when 6th day fumbled the pick up the elves the bakll was too deep in the Dwarf half and the Woodies couldn't quite get there quick enough. Shortly afterwards Penllew, with support from Gwaednerth, failed to make a farly easy block to break the dwarf cage and pop the ball out to waiting team mates.
After that the dwarves punished the Cambrians who had come to close and payed for it in bodies.
Despite grinding the Woodies down to 8 and having total control of the game the Dwarves decided to play for the draw and ran the clock down. Even after the score the team from Ynys Gwyn still had a slim chance to score but more poor blocking ended any opportunity.
