Strange indeed.

No matter how good this team gets on paper, I always feel like im pushing shit up a hill.

Game started with a Virus keeping a Wight and a block DP zombinator out of the game. *damn you aging niggles* After that spot of bad luck though, the blocking dice pulled their panties down and bent themselves over the bonnet of my BBwagon and purred under my experienced touch. *cough* First couple of turns i rolled mostly Pows and Ansalon evened it out with all both downs and pushbacks. I couldnt however do anything to get his players off the field. The BC's marauding unchecked in the backfield waiting to pounce on any half breaks I might make.

I was able to score quite easily but not stall. The threat of the Centaurs running around was just too much. I was tempted to run back towards my half and stall, riding Ansalons bad luck but I didnt have the canones to go through with it.

I was ALMOST able to stop the cds drive. Despite rolling alot of POWs, there were quite a few dbl skulls in the first half that chewed through my rr's. Had to make a few pushes too getting my slow arse players into possitions and unfortunately didnt have a rr to change the 1d skull into the pushback i needed to surf Count Chocula who had the ball. It was a pretty audacious play, and the game turned on that skull and fell in Ansalons favour.

He coached really well through the lean times, and then shut me down in the second half. HIs Bulls were magnificent and I'm looking forward to see how they develop. The 2 SF CD's keeping the flanks did a great job too.

We did have a second moment of well, almost glory, when Rick Rude, the old aged stager himself, blitzed the Cap'n who was smuggly holding the ball at my End Zone with RR the only player within reach. 2D against, it came up all yellow and down went the captain. the great ball scatter I was hoping for didnt eventuate and it stayed in play. RR picked it up but was prime white arse meat ofr an angry Cap'n who blitzed him the next turn and POW'd and then Chocula walked in and picked up the ball for the score.

The game was sealed when I was struck by the old triple 1's ending the play before I had the chance to move anyone to within scoring range for the next turn.

Well Coached Ansalon

you utter utter bastard.

oh twahnlows:

3 points: Count Chocula - with Breaktackle And AG3 and surehands. ffs give me a break!

2 points: Cap'n Crunch - Cant lie, ST5 and that much Movement and AG3 (again) makes me wet my pants.

1 Point: Lucky the Leprechaun - Its a coin toss between the 2 SF CD's but Lucky gets it for his DT. Which was never used but always threatened.

A strange, strange game. Handicap was Virus which helped as it took out a wight and a dp. All game I rolled bad, very bad and Red rolled quite well. My players stayed on the field though so it was hard for him to take advantage of the knock-downs. Also, Red's fouls were a bit unlucky as he never did more than a stun but got caught once.

Red failed the two rolls that counted, to stop my first score and to set up a chance at a second score for himself. Those two misses ended up deciding the game.

Twahnlows

3 points - Delicious Dave Vicious, threw a pass for the opening TD and was a constant pain with bodge/sidestep
2 points - Bam Bam Terry Gordy, 11 blocks and a CAS for a zombie is quite a performance
1 point - Rick Rude, knocked down Cap'n Crunch just inches from the endzone
