This game shows how flawed the fouling system is under LRB4.

Thanks to my opponent for the patience.

Edit: Ranked division is competitive. Doing all that it takes to win, and my experience says that a good coach with wood elves can score even with 6 players left.
More than this, your MB wardancer kept hitting my av7 players then retreated behind the lines of your elven linos. So taking out the linos was a sensible tactic to expose your biggest threat to my players, or to make you reconsider.
This does not conflict with the fact that I am happy I only RIPed one player, and that many casualties were BHs.

Also, my plan was to stall 8 turns, then let you score, then score the 2-1. Taking out your players by any means necessary meant that I could achieve that with ease, so why not do that? Leaping Wardancers and guard linos can get 1d on the ball, so the less players you have the more my 2-1 tactic is likely to succeed.

I didn't want to cripple your team at all costs. But I want to win, and I did all I could to achieve that. In the spirit of R division.

#4 Belexus Silverstone – Dead (RIP)
Fortunate to escape with just one death and a MNG. When we had the ball, we did fine. But eight turns of get the ref was just dumb. This is why people don't like playing against DP (though I believe the real flaw is in get the ref...). It reduced what could've been a really fun match to a fouling contest -- without the potential for kickouts to equalize things.

Addendum: After about two fouls, JanMattys noted how broken the system of get the ref is. What was disheartening was that it didn't stop him from happily fouling away. Further, most of the fouls weren't exactly on critical players. The treeman being fouled - totally fine. Even some of the guarders, okay. But it was really a freeforall with no real point.

I've rolled get the ref plenty in my time playing Blood Bowl. And unless it's in a tournament, I generally show restraint, because after all -- what's the point? It's not a game if you just foul for eight turns with a dirty player. And particularly if there's nothing to be gained (ie, no tournament win at stake), why not simply enjoy an even matchup?

I had accepted a match with Jan based on the fact that I really wanted to play against one of the more well-known teams out there and see how I fared against them. I wasn't impressed.
