#3 Celaras – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#3 Celaras – Smashed Knee (NI)
After our defeat at the hands of Riddermark we were pleased to be travelling to the shire as the hospitality of the Shire Folk was renowned.

The Shorties of the Shire had suffered some hard times and as a result had been lingering at the bottom of the table so we expected their spirits to be low… this was not the case however and it seemed this direst of situations had done nothing to dampen their appetites as a glorious feast laid in wait for our arrival… perhaps the Shire folks strategy was to bloat us like Pigs on their succulent meats and dull our minds with their beer?

Sure enough… their plan had worked, as we felt groggy from their Chef’s brews whilst they seemed as sharp as a Mythril Blade.

We began the drive, aiming to improve our skills by allowing our team mates to pass the ball amongst themselves. The Shorties began literally bombing our team as their Ents hurled the little guys over our LOS wall. A brave little shorty hit our ball carrier and took him down.

The pressure was now on – we decided that care was needed and passing was no longer an option and began to work our way down the flank. Despite their sharpness the Shorties seemed to be having problems dodging from us, whilst those that didn’t even try found themselves on a growing casualty list. One frustrated little Freeworlder fouled an already injured Celaras, compounding his problems further… and finally putting all question about his future to rest.

The score came in the last minute, but left the Shorties enough time to try one of their Ent manoeuvres… fortunately for us, like everything else they had tried, this too didn’t come off.

In the second half the Shorties could do very little due to their dwindled numbers, and a blitz from us added salt to their wounds… ultimately it was a 3 – 0 victory.

=====
With 7 RRs you’d think that Panda could have strung something together, but where as I avoided the 1s, he seemed to get them in boat loads interspersed with 2s… he rarely made a successful dodge.

Despite it all he remained in good spirits and it was an enjoyable game for my part.

GL in the rest of the league mate.
