“In an extremely tight game the Machine scraped a win against the understrength but extremely annoying 10 man Dark Knights.

The game started with the machine kicking off and the Knights attempting to move down a flank. The Machine were quick to close in for a bit of Orc-to-Elf marking and a few DE's were KO'd, though the Knights managed to score using their 2+ dodges to escape their markers.

The Orcs equalised prior to half-time via the Str 5 BOB Smashin' Steve after a strong caging roll down the Orc left which saw a DE Blitzer BH'd.

In the second the Machine received and had some poor armour results with a Blitzer and the Troll getiing KO'd and two Blitzers injured, yet inflicting nothing in return. Gradually though they progressed upfield in a rolling cage, even though at one point they were outnumbered.

Sadly near the finishing line a Dark Elf snuck in and stunned the ball carrier, and a draw looked likely. Fortunately for Russo the awsome scoring machine that is Smelly Saussage scored his 10th TD in the AFL by dashing into a Tackle Zone picking up the ball on a 4+, dodging out on a 3+ and GFI on a 2+ for the score without a reroll.

2-1 to Da Masheen!!!

It was a great game to play and very competative from both sides. The luck was strange as the DE had lots on the armour-injury rolls and the Orcs had it on the ball handling later. Quite a reversal.

The funniest point of the game was when in a dead turn before half time the Machine forgot they could foul the prone Dark knights DP and still remain within their quota. It was an observing coach that mentioned this after^^

As for the Machine, it may be too much for them to overtake Azure's Hobgoblins at the top of the league, but they want to give a good account of themselves in the closing half of the season.”
