“The Icy Black Hand of Death had some serious soul searching to do over the season 7 hiatus. Would they call it quits? Would they rally and try again to get out of the fringe prison that they've been trapped in for for three seasons?
In the end, loyalty and stupidity won out. Ryce gathered the men up and prepared for another go at glory. Pre-season cuts would be brutal as the team would have to let some people go to make weight. Released with much sadness, were not one but TWO blitzer, the niggled Olaf the Hunter and the team leader in casualties, Sven Forge. With the new leaner team, they would have to once again start a season with only ten players. Would they survive a rematch with the necros?
Thankfully, they only had one wolf, but he was a bruiser. Plus one of the fleshies was knuckledusting that day. What followed was a long, intense match with surprisingly no casualties (if you leave out the time Folkmar died on a dodge and was resurrected). Even though IBHoD had the ref for the entire first half, they could not get through the undead armor, but the reverse was true also of the werewolf's claws.
So the norse was able to squeak out a 2-1 victory in the closing seconds of the game. With the winnings, Ryce picked up an 11th player... a full team on the field next game... and they'll need it... CHAOS!
Great game bizz, thanks for sticking around to clear up the load problem. Good luck with those guys. I'll get that wolf next time... ”
