“Bang the WDDs had crashed back to Earth. After 14 wins on the trot the boys had forgotten what it fealt like to lose. We don't like it. A wizard was asked to help out in an attempt to turn things straight around against their long time rivals the Aberation Theatre.

Things got of to a great start when both Sacheeva Preuk and Mork Blackhelm fell to pieces before kickoff. This was about the end of the good news in the first half. Jumpin' Jack Gnash was an absolute machine. He was smashing through Woodies like a ten-pin bowling bowl. Dusty Catacombs got the ball safely under his wing and the Theatre were grinding their way to perfect 1-0 halftime lead. Just when it looked like the meagre supply of Elves was going to give in a Fireball smashed into the undead cage and both wolfs were knocked over and the ball was dropped by Dusty. A couple of receivers darted up field waiting for the ball but then disaster struck. Mr Murray did all the hard work ducking and weaving past the Undead picked the ball up of the turf then promptly fumbled it as he was about to dump it down field.
With only a few seconds left Dusty Catacombs made the WDD pay by getting of a tricky pass under pressure to set up Ed Sombre for a 1-0 advantage at half time.

The Woodies faced an uphill battle in the second half, serverly out numbered and needing at least a Draw to keep their Tittle hopes alive. Toshiba made it his personell mission to even up the playing field by first re-killing Dusty Catacombs then shoving both Jumpin'Jack Gnash and Scabby into the crowd. The Theatre were doing a good job of closing down recievers but Smoker J was allowed to hold the ball deep in our own Endzone. With Woodies running all over the place trying to wear out their opponants Crowlockylockville finally managed to find some room. Smoker J dutifully got him the ball and Crowlockylockville equalised with practicaly the last play of the match.

As results ended up going the way of the Men of Wood a draw keeps the hopes of the Double alive if only just.

3pts: Jumpin' Jack Gnash - Put the Woodies on the back foot right from the get go. Was a constant menace untill Toshiba knocked him into the crowd.

2pts: Dusty Catacombs - Ran a good offence in the first half culminating with a good pass under pressure to set up their only TD. Also made a true elven sacrifice for the team in the 2nd half

1pt: Billy Blender - Not as devestating as JJG but still casued plenty of headaches for the Woodies.
