“Round: 119. Our 1st point game this round
Previous games: 0
Players: We - 12, they 14.
Handicaps for them: IT WASN'T ME (our blitzer Sylvia Horne), SMELLING SALTS and PALMED COIN.
Weather: nice
Tos: they win it and start on offense.
---
A very poor pitch invasion strikes one of theirs and one of ours. They have a few really really bad turns (including a double one on a gfi), which allows us to get the ball, and KO 4-5 players. They cant stop us from scoring, although they fight bravely and make us drop the ball once.
Second half. Their dirty players stays KO, the other four come back. Our thrower stays out, and is replaced by a goblin. Their fans KO one of our players with a rock, and we play poorly: I waste rerolls trying to get down goblins, position my players badly etc - I even allow a simple twodicer on my ball carrier. Smashak on the other hand positions his players very cleverly and does some nice chainpushes. He would have gotten the ball if not for many lucky scatter rolls for me. They also have bad luck dodging with hobgoblins, one causes a turnover, two KO themselves. Our blockless black orc manages to cause a turnover turn5 on a block in spite of rr, but by then we have already ran away with the ball. I try to hand off the ball to a black orc but he fails in spite of rr. Stupid move of me, especially since I forgot to stand up another player before that, but we can still score last turn.
---
I did most of the mistakes and had most of the luck. Smashak was a good sport about it as always (joking that his dwarfs and bulls were better at dodging than the hobgoblins), and I hope by the time of our next encounter, his team will have gained some skills and strenght! Thanks mate! ”
