“FUMBBL CUP II Final game:
---------------------------------------
A rather un-even matchup got a lot more even when six (!) of the Dark Elf players were Running Late. The Amazons also used a Palmed Coin and picked to receive in first half, being able to play a boring stalling game and take advantage of the late arrivals on the Dark Elf side.
As 2nd half started, Charade was in the lead with 1-0, but the Anarchists were back in force. A well-played drive resulted in 1-1 in mid 2nd half, though it seemed that the girls had taken some kind of antidote because the poisoned dagger used by the freebooted Anarchist star didn't cause much harm at all.
The last drive of the game was a desperate effort from the amazons, first failing on sprinting into the endzone after a pass into a tackle zone then a highly elven move including a TZ pickup, a TZ dodge, another dodge and a GFI for the win.
Evo played well (as usual I assume), but couldn't really get anything going until second half because of the handicap rolls. Even with the handicaps this game could certainly had gone either way. I had a great time playing (esp. the second half when it got a bit intense), and you always learn something when playing against other experienced coaches.
Now the warrior ladies are off to celebrate their lucky win with wine and gigolos no doubt. ”
