#15 Marklar "The Ripper" Methas – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#15 Marklar "The Ripper" Methas – Smashed Knee (NI)
Indeed a shock defeat for the Dead Boys who came onto the pitch in much better shape than the Rats. The Undeads powerful punches could only really muster KOs which would later proove to be their downfall.

The Dead Boys worked well together in the 1st half but an extreemly unlucky throw in gave the ball into furry hands. The Deadboys annoyingly could KO rats left and right on the LOS and in the Houston half but the second their paws touched the Dead Boys half of the field their armour became impervious! When a rat made a dash into the half for the obvious passing score the Dead Boys would leap and pound the rat down but only ever prone results came and with the greater speed and dodging ability they were up and out of danger the next turn.

It was not the opener the Count had imagined for sure but with the star Ghoul Grint gaining the useful ability to sidestep and being healed of two little niggling injuries (due to old age) the Dead Boys could well be in fine form for the next (and possibly even more difficult) match.

All in all I am glad Houston only managed 2 TD (choosing to leave the Undeads in the KOs box for as long as possible!) and the adition of a new Rat Zombie it wasnt a bad days work really.

Looking forward to the rest of the season this group is filled with heavy hitters and LOADS of Dwarves which I lothe! It could be a tough one for the Dead Boys to stay in this league let alone make it to the promised land of the Prem.

Good game Az... you will not be so lucky next time. :P

#8 Anika Claw – Dead (RIP)
OBBA Season 4: The return begins!

Most of the experts have written off Houston - a team in shambles after mass injuries and retirements left them with a mere shell of their former glory. Houston limped into town and confronted their long time rivel: Dead Boys. The obvious underdog, Houston got a boost from a nasty story (BAD PRESS) written about the opponents, and the fans clearly were on the side of Houston.

The ball was kicked off and the Dead Boys had control and in a flash only 7 rats were left on the field...then 6...then 5. Not even to the halfway point but Houston was down to a just a pair of gutter runners and a few stunned linerats. However, Winky Torment grabbed the ball after it was shoved out of bounds and tossed in near her and then with a valiant effort - she tossed a long bomb to Paul Dalglish for the first score of the game. Houston restocked their players and the wind seemed to come out of the Dead Boy's sails. Their constant fouls with the eye on them began to earn them a few ejections...and then Simon Granger's skills with the boot proved useful in KOing some mummies. With the mummies out, things started to turn around...although a scoring chance at the end of the first half was foiled by a dropped handoff, the second half was all Houston. A half played perfectly and reminding the fans of previous seasons. Ryan Cochrane and Erik Ustruck showed that they had indeed sharpened their claws and started to injure one ghoul after another.

In the end, it was the Dead Boys that were whipped from the field. Only a handful of zombies remained when Houston scored in the waning moments to take the 2-0 victory.

A great game and good start to another season!
