“The Return of the King II - Semi Final

The first half of the game was marred by more reloads than anyone really wanted due to Az having some serious router issues... we chose another night to try again once the router was sorted. We reloaded the game, and then with Az stalling he went to score and the ghoul stood there with the ball, but no TD... so more reloads and chats in admin channel etc... eventually as Az hosting it worked! yay - 0-1 to the necros.

The 2nd half began with the undead receiving... we equalised with some time to spare... partly due to feeling a little exposed and didnt want to risk not scoring, and partly because I wanted to try and put Az under pressure to see if I could get a 2nd. Instead the full time was 1-1 ... and into OT with Az missing his star wolf and a wight.

Az received in OT and scored pretty quickly... and I countered quickly, and equalised 2-2... leaving time enough for someone to score. But it was Az's dice that secured him a 3rd TD as his ball handling was elf like, and my chance to take down the ball carrier was spoiled by a failed gfi that used up my last reroll which didn't result in a splat. A simple dodge and it was 2-3 to Az.

A good game which I much rather played than accept a walk over due to Az's router problems... I wanted to keep trying and play the game... which we did... in the end it was a close game resulting in a chunk of luck in Az's favour.

I look forward to the new season, because so far, the Minions are constantly being told they are the favorites, but they never quite make it. There are some strong players in the team, but the unskilled zombies are the weak link, and there are several players just 1spp away from a skill.”
