The WAAAGH! triumphed in a game that was closer than the score suggests. The Blood Service got off to a promising start, scything through the Orcs' defence before the ball carrier was brought down by his own feet as he sprinted to the line.

Bad luck was a feature of the Bloods' game, and enabled the WAAAGH! to keep control and push the ball up the field, scoring late in both halfs despite spirited defence. A bigger problem was the vampires' thirst for the blood of their thralls.

"Doze Vamps r nutzs" said Boshin' Tons "Dey KO'd more ov dere own fralls dan our 'ole team poot togevver".

With their defence short of players the WAAAGH! were nearly unstoppable, and the Blood Service did a great job of limiting them to two points.

"It's those $£*% halflings!" exclaimed a vampire. "The greedy little stunts mistook our pre-match blood pies for jam tarts and scoffed the lot. How can we perform when we're lusting for b-l-o-o-d" <edges closer to reporter>
