“Kondor crossed the pitch and as was customary, shook hands with the Zenon.
It had been a well played game on both sides of the ball. Everything had hinged on a key play at the first of the game. A short pass between the tree huggers was dropped, and the dark elves were able to capitalize.
For a change, this was a game where the Elite Squad came to play, and no bounties were collected. The Duke of Caxias was able to put #5 on the bench, but otherwise it was a clean game.
Sadly, this may be the last game for Bento Goncalves. He may be hanging up his spikes for good. Ironically, the injury was self inflicted. When he popped Fraidy Cat, he seems to have torn his ACL. Immediately, the wood elf reached to help him up in a show of sportsmanship, but he could not have stood if he wanted to.
As Kondor headed for the locker room, he continued to reflect. 10 men behind a tree was really 8 men behind a tree for most of the game. If they could hae kept 11 on the field, it may have been a different game. Certainly, there would be a rematch in the future, and Kondor would be prepared.

This was a tough game. I've only got a couple of comments. Twice Zenon had a chance to tie the game, but the dice were against him. That could have gone either way. Also, to me, the treeman seemed like more of a liability than an asset. He really did nothing all game. He is too easy to avoid. Against other elves, I would try to field 11 wood elves and skip the tree.
Exept:
I will be prepared for the Rematch, too!
And you can have it everytime, it was fun Playing against a Sportman like you are.
Will think about skipping the Tree in the next games against Elfes, but what should i do with only 11 Players ;-) the Problem is that they are to expensive.
I did some "not so smart" decisions and you were able to get advantage out of that. So the Victory was to the right team!
Very Well Played!!! - I learned a lot ;-) Thanks”
