#9 Wimp Lo – Dead (RIP)
So my penultimate game in my brief season in the Premiership... and I was dreading it.
All that block, tackle, Mighty Blow was something my girls really weren't wanting to experience. However, Gritter's previous game had made sure that one of the best players on the team - Moo Niu the Bull Centaur - was missing this game. Then Gritter had the effects of my 5 handicaps to deal with. One was "it wasn't me" and the other was Morleys - although this only effected one CD. When Master Tang also niggled prematch, Gritter used the apoth to have 11 players to start with. Unfortunately for him this cost him his str4 ma7 DP hob gob Wimp Lo when he got struck by the sharp bra of Model.
The girls received and made it to a turn 7 TD with some eb and flow of luck. Gritter was spitting feathers by this point as he had failed to make me use my apoth. However the restart saw the CDs clear two or three girls from the field in just one turn...
The 2nd half, and the effects of the heat kicked in again... it was going to be a hard defence! The ball carrier - Mae Ling - had been cursed with Bone Head for the match, and this was to be Gritter's undoing aroudn turn 4/4 of the 2nd half... it left him open to a hit and the ball spilled away... However the ball was eventually snatched up by teh CD Chosen One, who wandered in for the equaliser in turn 5/6.
I just had to hope I could hold on for the draw. Forunately the girls got hold of the ball and controlled it until the end of the game for a hard fought 2 points.
This result has thrown the leadership of this group into more doubt, with Gritter losing grip on 1st place to Purplegoo.
It will all come down to the final round to see who wins... meanwhile I just have to try and come out with a team left after facing Sera's mob of CDs. He has to beat Unstoffe in round 7, and then me to stay up in place of Unstoffe. If he fails to get anything but 10 points then he will be joining me in the conferences!
