In their league matchup, the Bashers came through with a 2-0 win that the made look easy, and took 3 of the dozen out of the match, and injured Pinckley.

In this close-fought match, however, the Dozen came out on top.

And "close-fought" doesn't really describe it - the Dozen destroyed the Bashers on the pitch, only to fumble the ball and trip over themselves, and allow a few Bashers to slip through and score.

The Bashers started with a blitz and Major Reisman got ejected on a foul just after the whistle.

Sgt. Bowren knocked down "Angel" Jiminez, and when Jiminez got up and tried to return the favor, Bowren knocked him right out of the match.

Valentine threw the ball away, but Vladek recovered. Tommy Wells fed "Peanut" Fowles to the crowd, but he must have been unsalted, as the crowd wasn't biting.

An enraged Pinckley killed "Don" Guillamo. "The Train" had stripped the ball from Vladek, who got pulverized trying to push away "Prophet," leaving the ball open.

Wladislaw got kayoed, and would stay unconscious for the rest of the match. Valentine broke the neck of "Chrome" Sanders, and things were looking to go Dirty. Unfortunately, Bowren couldn't stop the offense and "Running Man" took the Bashers up 1-0.

Still furious, Pinckley took the Prophet out of the match, but "Flash" used some fancy footwork to leave Bowren eating sod on a failed tackle attempt. Meanwhile "Running Man" slipped by the flat-footed defense to claim the ball again. Valentine and Jefferson got the ball back, but Bowren and Pinckley couldn't stop "the Train," who tripped up Tommy Wells, stopping the pass play as time ran out.

Down 1-0 and kicking off, the Dozen made things hard on themselves by giving the ball away on a touchback. Their defense failed to stop Peanut, who made good use of teammate and human shield, "Flash." 2-0.

Valentine made a strong pass to Posey, the generally worthless oaf who had spent most of the first half uselessly open. Jefferson and Vladek offered all the help he needed, and he opened up the scoreboard for the Dozen with a quarter of play remaining.

The Bashers collected the ball, pushed off the Dozen, and held back. Maggot went deep while the rest of the team pressed the Bashers, only to let "Peanut slip by a dizzied Posey and stunned Sawyer.

Pinckley knocked out "the Train," his hits getting weaker as his beserker rage wore off; Wells and Valentine chased after Peanut, as Jefferson peeled off to make the hit. He had to put on some extra speed, and hit the catcher just right, knocking him silly and scooping up the ball as Valentine dropped it.

Bashers thrower Hendell knocked Jefferson down by himself, and "Flash" and "Peanut marked the ball as "Running Man" kept an eye on Maggot. Pinckley and Sawyer went to help Maggot, while Bowren shelled "Peanut." Vladek and Valentine helped clear the way, while Maggot threw off "Running Man." Wells made a great throw, hitting Maggot right in the back of the head.

"Righteous" Robinson and "Slick" Knowles came after the trio near the end zone; except for Tommy Wells, the rest of the dozen were too far to help. Wells and Pinckley cleared the blitzer while Maggot helped Sawyer deal with the thrower. That left Maggot alone to crush the slippery Alvarez, who fell on the ball, kocking it away; Maggot had to move back to get it, and it took everything he had to put on the necessary speed to score just before time ran out.

[translation: Pow on a blodging SS-er on a 2d blitz, pickup, 2 GFI, no RR left]

Wladisaw came back for OT, and the Dozen were playing deep to avoid any magic from the Bashers ending things the wrong way. The throwers stayed back as everyone else moved forward. The Dozen fell on them, knocking one lineman out, and Hendell tripped as he dodged away, dropping the ball.

Things took a little longer, however, as first Posey and then Maggot failed to pick up the ball. In the end, Maggot handed the ball off to Posey for the win.

Posey learned to guard, Maggot got Dirty, and Vladek won his pardon.

Edit: Theft? That means a lot, coming from a bunch of convicts.

#10 Dominic "Don" Gillamo – Dead (RIP)
#11 Julius "Chrome" Sanders – Broken Neck (-AG)
Ah, the fruits of my labor. To work hellishly to keep this league together with teams dropping out and not getting their matches played...and then finally make it to the final just to have a ridicuously harsh rape make me want to quit this shit alltogether.

This must seriously be one of the most cruel final losses in the history of Fumbbl, hehe.

That's the Penal League for you. Showing you that life isn't fair.

Congrats to the win, Walks. It was a disgusting one, but that counts just as much as if you had deserved it ;)
See you in the next season...bastard, hehe.

Edit: Outstanding match report, good sir. It makes up for a small part of the shameless theft of my boys pardon :)
