“Yet another bizarre match, which was much more exciting than the final score line suggests.
It started out bloody, with Loebh BH'd in the first turn, followed by the khemri revenge where the bob Sherlock was BH'd in a gangfoul. While the orcs positioned themselves for an offensive drive the khemri set to work on the rest, causing another cas and KO in turn 2.
The greenskins ran in a TD in T4, something which at the time left me quite pleased. There was time for a tie before the half. At least that was the plan. Instead Shardaz the thro-ra missed 4 pick-ups in a row in a disastrous way that let the greenskins pull through and run in 2-0 in T8.
A harsh TD, but this wasn't the only thing harsh about the match. While the orcs had luck on their side with the ball handling, the khemri had other things going for them. Like the dp's mauling the prone orcs and getting away with 3(!) Argue the Call in a row. During that time the troll was sent off on first a SI which was apo'd and then a BH in the beginning of the 2nd half.
The khemri now started their advance, pushing aside the defending orcs to give the ball carriers a corridor to run through. After a spectacular suicide when Lord Voldemort tripped over his own feet on a failed dodge the other greenskins started to behave like real elves in their effort to stop the ball carrier. 9 succesful dodges in a row delayed The Caretaker until turn 5 before he could blitz his way through the last defense and score 2-1.
The last quarter of the match turned out to be very exciting. The khemri pushed for a tie and managed to push the orcs to one of the flanks. The situation looked bad for the orcs and their ball carrier got blitzed, but the ball scattered into the hands of Obelix. After a desperate 1d block which was skull re-rolled to skull Obelix the black orc moved away, made a nice pass to the marvellous Jennings who could catch it despite being guarded by a skellie and then dodge away to complete his hattrick!
