#9 Phar Lap – Dead (RIP)

The norse were all playing well to show off to the bimbo and what started as a game ended as a disaster as Nuffl got in on the act, with a run of bad luck worse than a halfling at an orc BBQ.
Whilst I did not really want them to get promoted, as the team is a tad underpowered, having Zara and the nasty nordic lads beat the crap outta the CD (and in particualr killing poor Phar Lap - see it was not the Yanks) was not the way I wanted to prove this thought.
One day soon Clay will find a bull centaurs little message on his front doorstep, and a hobgoblin selling the only shovels!

The Chaos Dwarf unit Chaosium Ad Nauseau travelled to Mt Victorious to take on Division 1 rivals the Blue Mountain Dragons. To the winner, a spot in the 1st Division, the loser relegated to the den of iniquity that is the 2nd Division...
But despite some quiet confidence shown by the skilled Bull Centaurs Rolf and Rolf, the Chaosium team was soon in disarray despite a strong start on the line of scrimmage.
The Dragons recovered after an offensive blunder and long bombed within their own half to set up the games first score to Lapi Stoneman.
This was followed by a shut down of the Chaosium offense for another TD and again on a blitz move, the Dragons suddenly lead 3-0 at the break.
The death of Phar Lap, the might hobgob followed by a number of match ending injuries to both Bull Centaurs saw the match turn farcical as the powerful Norsemen (and Zara the Slayer in all her glory) swamped the undermanned and understrengthed Chaosium line up for two more scores.
In the end it was 5-0... match officials withholding any match fees due to their views on how the Chaosium players performed whilst the Dragons remain in the First Division in the forthcoming season...
